One of our favorite Japanese Cuisine & Grill Restaurant in Hilo. My family loves the shrimp curry, grilled steak, shrimp tempura and ramen. We visit here at least once a month. The waitress is very attentive to our needs and handles a full restaurant on her own. The atmosphere is very relaxing and inviting. A great place to visit with family or someone special. If desired BYOB is allowed.

I had a perfectly cooked/steamed black Cod with sweet brown sauce, very tender and very fresh, it literally melt in the mouth, served with miso soup, simple green salad and white sticky rice. The portion is just right for a simple dinner, very satisfying but not stuffed uncomfortably. My husband had a simple grilled Mahi Mahi, served with steamed vegetable and fries, always nicely prepared. Nice, quiet atmosphere, very low key and welcoming.

This place is fast and the service and taste are consistently good. Some of my favorites are the fried tofu curry, spicy ramen, teriyaki chicken, mushroom skewers, miso eggplant, and potstickers. They make a pretty brownie sundae for dessert. There is an ice cream place next door that is open during the day too. They are open on Mondays which is notable in Hilo. We like to make reservations here for family parties, but there are usually tables available for walk-ins. You can definitely eat here during your lunch hour. This place is very clean and quiet with pleasant instrumental music.
