I called in to-go order. Delicious flavor to the enchiladas rice and the beans. I got the Tex-Mex plate to try a taco and it was delicious. The salsa is good and the chips were warm. The service was excellent. It’s very close to where we live so we will definitely be going back. It’s the real deal!!!

Drive thru experience.
It was ok. Took about 15 mins for my food. Food was good. I wish large tortillas would be handmade. The tacos were very good. Carne guisada was good. My bf got the beef fajitas and carnitas. He said they tasted good. I wanna dine in and try a plate. But over all, good customer service and earned a future customer.

Pretty decent place compared to other options in the area. Salsa is mid. Ordered queso flameado, but I’m not sure how they justify some chorizo and mozzarella served on a plastic plate. I assume it was microwaved. Judging by other’s pictures of the queso I decided to pass on that. And while the guac looked fresh, it tasted like it was about to go bad. I didn’t really have an issues with being served on paper plates, but it’s weird trying to cut enchiladas with a plastic fork. If the paper plates were the only issue I would give a pass, but realistically this just isn’t good food.

1st time here (on Halloween). Very spacious, great staff and great food. My waitress was supper courteous and answered all my questions! I ordered the 4 taco plate (I was able to get 4 different styles since it was very slow; Halloween). I had beef fajita, carnitas, birria and pastor! All were very delicious…birria was my favorite! I also ordered a bowl of menudo which was Schmackin as well! Saved half for the next morning cause I get Crudo for the Menudo! They also have great daily Happy Hour prices and you don’t have to sit at the bar! Stop on by, you won’t be disappointed…I wasn’t! Only reason for 4 stars on food is because I had to salt up the menudo and salsas, but I guess it’s always better to have not enough salt…than too much!

So I just want to start by saying I ordered this on DoorDash so maybe actually going to to restaurant is better, but… we ordered 2 “cowboy” fajita plates which were pretty overpriced based on other Mexican places in the area and they were so mehhhh. They sent them with no tortillas, no salsa, and when I tried the shrimp it had no flavor. I figured with the lack of spices on it, it would be safe to give my cat and he said “nope” also. The chicken and beef were alright and the beans were fine too. But why wouldn’t you send salsa or tortillas with a fajita plate? So for the price, absolutely never again. It’s hard to mess up Mexican food for me, but they managed.

1st time here. I tried the birria tacos. I enjoyed them but the gravy dip is thicker than all other places I’ve tried. Still good though. Wanted to try the Tres Leches cake but it’s made with nuts ans I have a nut allergy. I heard it is good, but wouldn’t mind being able to try it myself. Will be back to try more dishes.

After hearing how close this was and having not been there, today was the day to fix that. The interior was nicer than we first expected and we were able to sit right away. Decided on a plate of crispy tacos (with fajita beef) and a burrito (chicken fajita meat this time.)
I will say that the house salsa is perfect. I just wish there was more in a bowl. You see, I would consider Taco Cowboy good casual fare. I would easily take this to go on a picnic. So, the salsa coming in a small Styrofoam cup is great for a to go order or picnic but not so much for dining in. The meat on the tacos and burrito were very good…great sear on the beef. The beans were neither over-seasoned nor under-seasoned. Overall, we liked the food and service.
We will definitely be back. We will mix it up a little next time. Ask for extra salsa, do a quesadilla with the fajita beef or go just go with ground beef and try taking it all on a picnic. We saw a family coming from the lake with their boat just to have nachos and I can see us enjoying, tacos in hand, saying adios to a beautiful sunset in central Texas.

It’s cute, and the servers are kind.
The food is really mediocre and everything comes on like fast food plates etc. The “queso” is either velveeta or ballpark bagged cheese which is super disappointing when you want to go to a Mexican restaurant for the queso. Salsa was good but nothing to write home about. Pretty sure the chips are store bought bags.
The refried beans are to liquidy and bland.
Chicken texano was good. Decent seasoning and cooked well. But again not really a WOW this is good. Beef burrito is dry and kinda sad tbh.
