Ps the music was also good not too loud and not as crazy as other places like taco boys which is why we don’t go there anymore either.
Good vibes all around ☺️
Fountain Coke products in a to-go paper cup. Bottle drinks also available. No veteran discounts. Below Average burrito sizes. Reasonable prices.
The owner Pedro is so kind, as is the rest of the staff. They are attentive and personable!
We are so lucky to have this place right down the street from us. Highly recommend you check them out and get the loaded nachos!
First time here and it did not disappoint. We ordered the Al Pastor nachos, along with the Al Pastor taco, Carnitas taco, and Nopal taco — all incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. The handmade corn tortillas were a standout — fresh, soft, and hard to come by these days.
All three salsas were delicious, with the orange one adding a nice kick for those who enjoy some heat. The horchata agua fresca was smooth and refreshing — no grainy texture, just pure, creamy flavor. The guacamole was another highlight: fresh, homemade, and free of any unnecessary ingredients (which I appreciated since I’m not a fan of onions).
On top of the amazing food, the restaurant was very clean, and the staff was welcoming, friendly, and super attentive. They really made the experience even better.
Definitely coming back — this place is a hidden gem!
My other half had two street tacos; pollo asada and carne asada. Both were delicious. The meat was so tender and flavorful!
I tried the the Mulida with carne. It was so delicious. The meats on both of our orders were plentiful, which is such a rare thing to see these days. We had a side order of chips and guacamole and that was some of the best guacamole I’ve tasted!
We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu options and it’s likely Taco Cinco will be a regular “go-to” place. The owner stopped by our table to check-in which proves that they care about their customers and take pride in their offerings.
Thank you, Taco Cinco!
Came back to check out Taco Cinco on Taco Tuesday and I am glad we did! Pedro remembered us, welcomed us back with open arms and reminded us that they do a Buy 2 get 1 free deal on all tacos!
My wife and I ordered 9 tacos and we also had to get a carne asada fries because Taco Cinco has my favorite asada fries in the entire state!
After a few minutes of waiting, Pedro came over with our food and man let me tell you, he and the team really stepped it up! All the issues I brought during my initial visit were all addressed. Both the tacos and the fries had plentiful portions of meat on them and my wife and I were truly impressed with the overall quality and taste of the taco! In addition, all the salsas here are extremely good. The new light green one might be my new favorite one!
I think Taco Cinco might be our new go-to taqueria from now on! It’s always great to support a new local business, especially one that is receptive to customer feedback. Please give Taco Cinco a try – I guarantee you won’t find a better taco in the area!

Taco Cinco is a brand new taqueria serving up Mexico City style tacos in Phoenix. If you’ve been to Taco Viva, then you’d be able to see the resemblance right away. Competition is good and healthy for the market and consumers.
I ordered 2x Al Pastor and 2x Carne Asada tacos along with an order of a regular Carne Asada fries with extra asada. Out of the two meats, the carne asada was my favorite. It was tender and had a nice smoky flavor. The pastor was also good but not quite as good as their competitor.
While the food tasted fresh and delicious, I can’t help but hyper fixate on their portion sizes. They really do skimp on the meat here on both the tacos and the fries. I shouldn’t have to order extra asada to get the amount of meat that’s on the fries in the picture – that should be the normal portion given the amount of fries in there. The fries were fresh and crispy though.
As where things stand, if I just wanted a really good quality taco, I’d make the drive to taco viva even though it’s a lot further from me simply due to the fact that I know they will provide great portion sizes.
If I just wanted carne asada fries, I’d probably go to taco cinco since I prefer their thin style fries over the ones at taco viva.
Owner was very nice and came out and asked how everything was doing. He seemed receptive of our feedback so I hope he implements that going forward. I would love to continue to support this business so as long as they continue to improve and strive to provide their customers the best quality food they can.
