Finally a good taco place, will definitely be coming back to try more. The home made tortillas 10/10 the salsas could be better but that’s a personal preference they were still good! We tried the nachos with steak. Brilliant idea to make half orders! Their steak meat is good quality and thank u for making al pastor the way it should be made 10/10 their service was also good food came out fast and friendly all around. Hope it stays that way! I’ll be making this my quick go to spot

Ps the music was also good not too loud and not as crazy as other places like taco boys which is why we don’t go there anymore either.
Good vibes all around ☺️

This is the first time we are here. The Moon Valley Moms have good reviews & so good Google. All the great reviews were accurate. The staff was very friendly & looked as though they enjoy their jobs. The samples helps us decide. The Carnitas were our favorite, but with 5 of us we tried all options. The eans are a little spicy. The red salsa is medium & the green salsa was hot. All the meats were cooked & seasoned perfectly! The corn tortillas are homemade & excellent. There is plenty of seating & parking is easy. We are going to add this to our rotation. We highly recommend giving this place a try! It’s delicious.

Food was just ok. My burrito could have used more flavor. It tasted like it was mostly rice. It wasn’t very filling. She got the carne asada fries. She said it was good. It had better portion sizing for the price.

Fountain Coke products in a to-go paper cup. Bottle drinks also available. No veteran discounts. Below Average burrito sizes. Reasonable prices.

We have been coming here almost weekly since they opened, the food is that good! My husband absolutely loves the Al pastor street tacos, and I am obsessed with the loaded nachos. The food is fresh, the meat is tender and not gristly at all. The salsa has a perfect kick to it. The portion of the nachos is quite large, as I get the small order and it fills me up completely.

The owner Pedro is so kind, as is the rest of the staff. They are attentive and personable!

We are so lucky to have this place right down the street from us. Highly recommend you check them out and get the loaded nachos!

Amazing taco spot — a must-try!
First time here and it did not disappoint. We ordered the Al Pastor nachos, along with the Al Pastor taco, Carnitas taco, and Nopal taco — all incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. The handmade corn tortillas were a standout — fresh, soft, and hard to come by these days.

All three salsas were delicious, with the orange one adding a nice kick for those who enjoy some heat. The horchata agua fresca was smooth and refreshing — no grainy texture, just pure, creamy flavor. The guacamole was another highlight: fresh, homemade, and free of any unnecessary ingredients (which I appreciated since I’m not a fan of onions).

On top of the amazing food, the restaurant was very clean, and the staff was welcoming, friendly, and super attentive. They really made the experience even better.
Definitely coming back — this place is a hidden gem!

We’ve been waiting patiently for Taco Cinco to open and it was worth the wait!

My other half had two street tacos; pollo asada and carne asada. Both were delicious. The meat was so tender and flavorful!

I tried the the Mulida with carne. It was so delicious. The meats on both of our orders were plentiful, which is such a rare thing to see these days. We had a side order of chips and guacamole and that was some of the best guacamole I’ve tasted!

We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu options and it’s likely Taco Cinco will be a regular “go-to” place. The owner stopped by our table to check-in which proves that they care about their customers and take pride in their offerings.

Thank you, Taco Cinco!

Just tried Taco Cinco and WOW, so good. I had the vampiros and the al pastor was insanely flavorful and delicious. Stephen got the pollo burrito and it was killer too. Service was super friendly and fast, everything came out quick, and the place was clean. Highly recommend, we’ll definitely be back!

UPDATED 12/9/25:
Came back to check out Taco Cinco on Taco Tuesday and I am glad we did! Pedro remembered us, welcomed us back with open arms and reminded us that they do a Buy 2 get 1 free deal on all tacos!

My wife and I ordered 9 tacos and we also had to get a carne asada fries because Taco Cinco has my favorite asada fries in the entire state!

After a few minutes of waiting, Pedro came over with our food and man let me tell you, he and the team really stepped it up! All the issues I brought during my initial visit were all addressed. Both the tacos and the fries had plentiful portions of meat on them and my wife and I were truly impressed with the overall quality and taste of the taco! In addition, all the salsas here are extremely good. The new light green one might be my new favorite one!

I think Taco Cinco might be our new go-to taqueria from now on! It’s always great to support a new local business, especially one that is receptive to customer feedback. Please give Taco Cinco a try – I guarantee you won’t find a better taco in the area!

——————-

Taco Cinco is a brand new taqueria serving up Mexico City style tacos in Phoenix. If you’ve been to Taco Viva, then you’d be able to see the resemblance right away. Competition is good and healthy for the market and consumers.

I ordered 2x Al Pastor and 2x Carne Asada tacos along with an order of a regular Carne Asada fries with extra asada. Out of the two meats, the carne asada was my favorite. It was tender and had a nice smoky flavor. The pastor was also good but not quite as good as their competitor.

While the food tasted fresh and delicious, I can’t help but hyper fixate on their portion sizes. They really do skimp on the meat here on both the tacos and the fries. I shouldn’t have to order extra asada to get the amount of meat that’s on the fries in the picture – that should be the normal portion given the amount of fries in there. The fries were fresh and crispy though.

As where things stand, if I just wanted a really good quality taco, I’d make the drive to taco viva even though it’s a lot further from me simply due to the fact that I know they will provide great portion sizes.

If I just wanted carne asada fries, I’d probably go to taco cinco since I prefer their thin style fries over the ones at taco viva.

Owner was very nice and came out and asked how everything was doing. He seemed receptive of our feedback so I hope he implements that going forward. I would love to continue to support this business so as long as they continue to improve and strive to provide their customers the best quality food they can.

My mother and I ate here for the first time. She had the carne asada tacos on corn tortillas and I had the asada tacos on flour and a al pastor taco on flour too. DELICIOUS. Highly recommend this place.
