We stopped by the Taco Cat food truck for a late lunch. We always pass by and finally had time to stop and try the food. It was easy to park by the gas station and find a table to sit down, but it wasn’t a peak time, so that may not always be the case. The seating area had good shade, access to trash cans, and was very clean. The planters, greenery, and colorful tables made it pleasant to sit there despite being in a parking lot between a gas station and a busy street. The lady who took our order was very nice and welcoming. She asked if we had any questions, and we didn’t feel rushed to order. She happily adjusted our order to our preferences.
My husband and I shared a Birria Combo, a street corn cup, a shrimp street taco, and a large Coke. The tacos were amazing! The birria tacos were so delicious we will definitely have to have them again. They were piping hot, and the ingredients tasted fresh. The sauces were well made, flavorful but not overpoweringly spicy or salty. Very messy to eat if you’re not careful, but so worth it. The shrimp taco was good, too. The street corn was okay, but not my fave. It had a nice spice to it, but the corn didn’t seem to be fresh corn cut off the cob. Next time, we might try the birria pizza and tres leches cake. Thanks for a great lunch!

First time coming here. Tried two chicken street tacos and a chicken burrito. Service was normal. No complaints. Order came out in about 7 minutes as promised. Tacos and burritos were delicious. I didn’t care for the sauces. I like extra spicy food and neither of the sauces were hot enough for me. Other than that, i enjoyed everything. I’ll be back to try the Tortas

I also thought this was a mobile food truck when I drove by on Germantown Parkway. But upon arrival, I see this is a permanent setup. The employees were attentive and acknowledged me as soon as I walked up. They were mindful by asking if I wanted jalapeños. I said yes, but I should’ve said no because they were very spicy. The burrito was very huge and filling and most importantly, tasty.

I came from Nashville to Memphis for a family reunion and wanted to stop at Taco Cat since I heard all the rave.
We bought Birria Pizza, Mexican corn, Birria sauce & Jamaica Drink.
The website is miss leading. I didn’t know it was a Taco Truck and my own personal preference I don’t general eat off a truck.
HOWEVER, the food was hot. The drink was cold and the corn was spicy.
I did expect a little bit more from the pizza, but it was good. I did ask the other customers what to get and food was tasty. Could use more salt but it was loaded with meat and tasty.

The service and atmosphere was great, but the food wasn’t as good as I expected. I was not impressed, and neither was my family when they ate their food too. I feel that the prices were a bit high for the quality of food. While the food was prepared well and cooked nicely and the portions were large, it’s the quality of the ingredients that I feel could be better.

0/5! I’ve eaten here before plus other taco trucks. I just wanted shrimp tacos after my 14 hour shift. The shrimp they put on my almost $20 order of tacos was DRY & hard to chew as if they were ridiculously old. The audacity! seriously. It takes 3 minutes to cook fresh shrimp. Took one bite & trashed the rest because they literally sold me garbage.

Absolutely amazing! Hands down some of the best tacos I have tasted in Memphis! The service was exceptional and the atmosphere was laid back and chill. Don’t walk, run to Taco Cat to get some of the best service and food in Memphis. Also, dont forget to try their PizzaBirria Taco pizza!

It was my first time going to Taco Cat! I really enjoyed it, even though it was a rainy day.
The overall atmosphere was wonderful, and the cashier was friendly.
I accidently ordered 3 tres leches cakes, but I wasn’t paying attention when checking out, so it was no fault of the cashier. It was too delicious to complain about!
I tried the birria tacos, first time having any birria tacos, and it was enjoyable. The taco without and lime and salsa was okay. But the taco was more delectable once I added the lime and salsa.

Oh my. It was an excellent experience that I ever had. I lived right at the corner, and been driving pass them everyday from work. Today, I finally made it here, and WOW *chef kiss*
The staff was very attentive and friendly. Everything looked clean and beautiful.
The food was above excellent. Reasonable price. Please excuse the mess in the picture because it was so good that we couldn’t hold it.
Definitely come back and be one of their biggest fans.
