Usually have pleasant experiences here. Sat and watched while 3 people who ordered larger orders after me get their food first. I’m a very consistent and usual customer of this place. But this was awful. If I didn’t bring up that I was still waiting. Who knows how long I would’ve left. And after souring my night and wasting my time. Zero offered to make up for it. Pitiful for a place I really enjoy. Also ended up getting the wrong sized burrito!

The carne asada is not good quality! Chewy pieces and doesn’t have any nice grilled taste. The sour cream was not good, the flavor was gross and tasted like chemicals. Choose another sour cream option for your orders! We ordered online and picked it up. The website offered shrimp for an upcharge, yet right after ordering we were called and told they don’t have shrimp and not sure why it’s on the website. We got the super nachos- blah. We got the Super Fries. The website shows seasoned fries, yet we got crinkle fries. Nothing tasted fresh, except the rice, beans and Horchata. The flavors did not give Mexican-flavors. The salsas are watery and the red was way more flavorful than the green. We will not return unfortunately.

Taco Burrito King is a great spot when you’re craving solid Mexican food fast. The portions are generous, the tacos and burritos are flavorful, and everything comes out fresh and hot. The carne asada and steak burritos are especially good — nicely seasoned and filling. The staff is friendly and usually quick with orders, even during busy times.
The only small downside is that prices have gone up a bit, and sometimes the food can be a little greasy depending on what you order. But overall, it’s a dependable place for a satisfying meal with that classic Taco Burrito King flavor. Definitely worth stopping by!

Stopped on our way home from the United Center. I ordered a burrito bowl and ate it next day. It was great reheated, so I can only imagine how good it would be fresh. My sister got the chips and guacamole, she said it was a little plain but still very good. Boyfriend got 3 tacos, and was completely full after eating 2. Good value for money, will definitely be coming back. Also, the staff was great!
Edit: Stopped again, ate my burrito there and it was excellent. Also tried the tamales & flautas which were both excellent. Can’t wait to come back.

Taco Burrito King is one of my favorite burrito destinations. Just not this location. I arrived around 2:00 p.m. I was the only customer in the space. There was an employee behind the counter but he didn’t greet me he just kind of stood there looking at me until I said hello.
I felt like I was bothering him. I told him I had an order to dine in and I ordered a steak burrito without beans with sour cream.
That’s my go-to and I recommend it to everyone who eats at Taco Burrito king. Except for this location. The gentleman prepared my food, packed it up to go, and wished me on my way.
I reminded him that I was dining in today. I felt bad telling him that because of the way he was making me feel. My meal was warm in temperature and rolled beautifully. However to my disappointment no sour cream and about six large chunks of fat that I was unable to chew and had to spit out.
Disappointing Taco Burrito king. Some of your locations are truly phenomenal. I hope if I visit here again I have a better experience with your team.

Really didn’t like the way Miguel treated me tonight. Made me feel like his food was pristine and my business was a joke. Told me I was a bad customer even though I tip (on to go food even) every time. I will not spend my money here ever again. I will not ever give any gratuity ever again. Miguel is kinda rotten tbh. I thought he was cool until tonight. Be careful giving your money on file for this place. Miguel is the type of person to hunt you down when you speak up that he did something wrong. He probably messes with orders and does weird things to your food if you speak up about what he does. If the owner of this place responds to this, I will happily elaborate. Miguel surely puts bad quality food in the food he serves. This food is garbage. You will probably get sick from this terrible food. Please do not spend money here. You will hate yourself immediately after.

Taco Burrito King lives up to its name when it comes to the food—consistently great, flavorful, and served fast with super kind service. They keep it moving, and you’re never waiting long, which is a blessing in the age of hanger-induced crimes.
But… let’s talk about the elephant in the room: the inside of the place looks like it gave up on itself in 2009 and never recovered. Dirty, unkempt, and the kind of environment that makes you question whether napkins are optional or medically necessary.
Thankfully, I always order to-go, so I can enjoy their amazing fries (yes, fries—don’t judge me) in peace, far away from the crumbling aesthetic inside. I know it sounds weird to hype up fries at a taco joint, but honestly, they’re that good.
Bottom line: the food and staff deserve a medal. The dining area deserves a full renovation, a pressure washer, and possibly a priest. Definitely recommend—just take it to-go unless you enjoy risky ambiance.

10/2020 4* Food was pretty good. Not as good as last time. But still good. Enjoyed our time there. Staff was friendly, but when they wanted us to leave, they made a lot of noise cleaning around us. That was discouraging. Lost a star for that.
2019 We really enjoyed the food. Liked that it was open 24 hours. Security was there later in the night. Pretty clean and the food was awesome! We will be back to TBK for sure, and if possible this particular one.
