Unfortunately, my food arrived lukewarm unlike previous orders, the Chicken Muchaco Platter’s muchaco & soft taco both had a peculiar slightly sour rank taste to the chicken as if the meat wasn’t fresh & on the verge of spoiling; I’ve tasted chicken & turkey that way before, so I remember that taste. And I didn’t receive guac or sour cream on the platter as usual or customary, nor queso for the chips & no sides of jalapeno peppers, onions, & salsa, all as per my request. To say that I was disappointed is an understatement cause I didn’t expect this. Therefore, I won’t be a return customer to this location again. I really hate to leave a review like this, but I have to be honest & forewarn with caution to anyone about to order from them.

I tried to email this but the Conroe location is not on their list of restaurants in the contact us email. So, I guess this will work.

I used to work for Taco Bueno years ago. And I have always loved visiting Taco Bueno any chance I get. Which isn’t much considering the closest one to me is in Conroe. The other ones didn’t stay open long.

I’m not sure how sales are at the Conroe location but I didn’t really have a great experience this visit and thought I’d give some constructive feedback.

I ordered some burritos, a Mexi Dip and a root beer through the drive thru.

I asked for a 12 pack of party burritos… The order taker tried to sell me a Bueno Pack??? So I just said 12 party burritos. I see it on the online menu, but I’m pretty sure they sold them to me Individually instead. This I can’t be sure of but it was still frustrating.

The burritos were tasty but messy. Like, the burrito stuff all squishing out the end on ALL of the burritos. The beans on the burritos was good because of the chili, but in the Mexi Dip they were a tad bland. And the chips with the Mexi Dip were tasty, but mostly I got broken smaller pieces. The drink was served in a foam cup (not the regular Bueno cups) with a lid that didn’t fit and kept popping off. My first drink spilled on me.

Additionally, Yall changed the queso. It tastes like canned cheese. It’s really gross. Im not sure when yall changed it but the original cheese was much better.

I love Taco Bueno because most everything is made fresh. It’s not all processed like the other Taco place. It’s one thing to have an off day and maybe have one or two sloppy burritos, but today was disappointing.

This makes me sad. If I didn’t know better I would never go back.

Also, I know yall have tried to open a location on 1960, which seemed to have lasted 4 months, and one in The Woodlands which maybe lasted a year.. both of those were “OK” locations but not ideal. Try 2920 or Spring Stuebner.. 1960 isn’t bad but it would be better in the 45 area imo.

Just feedback. Hope to have a better experience next time.

Waited almost 20 minutes in the drive thru for 2 value menu items $1.69 + tax each. Was told my total was $3.66 at the speaker but when I pulled up, I was given back $5 and a few coins. The math ain’t mathin. Didn’t realize it until I got home. Won’t be back.

Taco Bueno rocks. I worry this location won’t make it because it’s always empty. The dining room has really cool seating options. I could see myself sitting in here and playing board games or dominos. I wish more people knew how good the food is here compared to other fast food Mexican restaurants.

Just spare yourself and don’t come here. Got my order wrong twice and tried to serve me a burrito with unmelted cheese ? I asked them if they could fix it and they just put the burrito on the grill, so then it was more of a bean quesadilla rather than a burrito. The employee at the counter also had a horrible attitude.

Food was decent, drink machine wasn’t working, and they only had spicy salsa. But I did befriend a cockroach which I named Dickey. Would rate 5 stars but he died shortly after which really brought down the mood.☹️

I dont know if all taco joints are hard hearing or they just dont care. I order my food say it plainly and its like they dont listen fix it wrong anyway. If they were slam I could understand but, they’re not busy most of the time they get it wrong.

The order was for a family pack. Which included tacos, burritos and 4 containers of Beans and chips.
1st. To much cheaper in the Beans
2nd. To much cheese and not enough chicken in the tacos
3rd. The Beans seemed over processed.
4th. The family pack is for beef tacos I asked for chicken tacos . It was additional 7.50 for chicken.

The food here was hot and tasted good, but the cleanliness was unacceptable. We were the only customers, and there were five employees working. Not one table was clean. As soon as they took our order, they went back to sitting down instead of wiping tables or tidying the floors. Clearly not on break, just not making any effort to maintain the dining area. It’s hard to enjoy a meal when the place feels this dirty.

I grew up in Fort Worth, Texas and ate at Taco Bueno all the time, loved it. This experience was ok but I was hoping for more. The food wasn’t bad it just didn’t seem to taste the same, I had the Bueno Chilada platter.
