In 1967, we opened our doors in Abilene, TX to share fresh, authentic Mexican food. Now, almost 52 years later, while the other guys have turned to packaged and processed foods, we’ve stayed true to our roots by crafting authentic recipes in each of our kitchens. The food was great, but the service was a little lacking. The person at the register charged us for something totally DIFFERENT from what my husband ordered. The manager was great about making it right. It was about $3 more than what we actually paid for and that was only the difference in the two plates, the one he ordered and the one he was charged for. Then the person at the register charged us for a refill of my drink that I accidentally spilled and it should have been a free refill. EVERYONE has free refills so I don’t know why he did that. Other then that he was very nice, everyone was and they checked on us a few times while we were eating to make sure everything was good, which it was. I love Taco Bueno and we don’t have any close to where we live. Yes I would recommend them.

This place reminds me of what drive thru service used to be like 25 yrs ago- FAST, FRIENDLY and FRUGAL . Prices and value is great. Fernando the drive thru staff is always pleasant and has a smile on his face and occasionally asks how my day went:) Great service and will come back because of this.

Well I have 2 stars. The last couple of trips here weren’t pleasant. I went thru the drive thru one night and received a very unwelcoming and rushed tone as if I was disturbing the peace. Then about two weeks later I decided to go inside due to my previous visit. While inside I was completely ignored. Yes, they were making a big order and there were 3 employees that I could see. My issue wasn’t the wait, it was the fact that I wasn’t acknowledged or even told “We’ll be with you in a sec”. I was like a ghost to them but I stood there for another 7 min waiting to see if any of them would at least take my order as all I wanted was 2 chinos. Nope!! Wouldn’t even look my direction. I just walked out and went somewhere else. So as of now I’ll just go to the one on old Bullard Rd even though it’s across town. At least until This one gets a better night shift or have some retraining on proper customer service.

Several employees need to be drug tested on the spot and new crew needs to be hired !! Employees Can’t repeat or make one order in person or in drive thru. Won’t give you a receipt then argue and scream at the top of there lungs when you try to get your order corrected…

Pulled up to the drive-through at around 7 o’clock… Nobody in the drive-through line. Wait at the speaker for about five minutes. I say hello nobody answers so I go to the window….. I get to the window. There is three workers with headsets on All of them looking at the window, laughing sat for another five minutes, staring at them and not one came over to the windowand just pulled off…. If y’all are wondering why you’re numbers are down Tuesday evening that’s exactly why they would rather be back there playing with food than doing their job

Love love loooove Tyler Taco Bueno!!! So far and without fail, they have made great meals for my family!! My kids love the pintos and cheese cups, and the cheesecake chimichungas … yummy. Definitely a delicious place to stop in for a yummy meal. Also the food is great to go and still tastes amazing when you get home!! They have consistent tastes and consistent quality and that is super important when your looking for that one place you can count on and don’t mind spending the money on the food! The staff are fast and very helpful, they are motivated and took great care of my family when we stopped in and ate in the restaurant Thank you Tyler Taco Bueno for many meals well done and oh so tasty .

It was in Tyler an the first time I ever had a bad food experience with TB. Bland nacho cheese, flavorless meat and the worst sweet tea to ever grace a parking lot!! Because that’s where I put it after tasting it.

Tried to order 30 minutes before closing on a Saturday night in their drive thru and they refused to take an order. It really seems posted hours are merely a suggestion anymore.

This place is like a step down from taco Bell. I would highly recommend you have coupons if you plan on eating here because they skimp on their portions. I usually get the value food items that cost a buck to see what they offer for people who can not afford a lot. Sadly this place failed. I got a value taco, bean burrito, a tostada, and there brisket taco which I got for free with coupon. All of were really bad and the brisket taco was the worst if you take a look at the picture you would see why. I think the only thing I kind of liked was the tostada. They do have a a salsa bar which is good but it was not good in my view. I really don’t how long they leave it out but it tasted like store store bought stuff. They have this sign that says ” Coke is back” and I’m like so what. Again sorry Bueno you did not do good I would rather go to taco Bell or Jack in the box instead of getting your lame food. This is my views others may be different.
