Cozy, friendly hole-in-the-wall! Lots of options, and the staff is knowledgeable of the menu. Can’t go wrong with anything you order – it’s all very tasty! We loved the machete and their salsa. We recommend sharing the chicharronera as an appetizer to share. Will be back!!!

Very tiny, mean tiny place, so it doesn’t take a lot of people to fill up. They were very accommodating for us. When we went, they only had a 2 top, but made it a 3 top for us. Service was really good. They made sure we were taken care of. Pretty solid Mexican food. Nothing was overly amazing, but good. Thought with the name Soup in their name they would have a few more options than they had, but my wife and I both got a cup. The soup, I think, is more of the star of the joint. We were both pleasantly surprised at how tasty they were and hit the spot on a cold night. Would definitely come back and eat here again.

Vegan and meat eater couple that visited on Saturday evening for dinner. I ordered veggie tacos which were fresh with grilled veggies and a cabbage/lettuce topping in flour tortillas. I ordered a side of guacamole and extra cilantro 🙂
My boyfriend ordered carne asada tacos and he enjoyed them! The queso dip he didn’t recommend. (It looked like a yellow cheese). Rice was and still, but refried beans had good flavor.
Overall I would probably order again, food was fresh, hot, tasty, and service was quick!

2025 first visit was PHENOMENAL! we tried a new dish, Machetes. SO GOOD This continues to be a favorite of ours. If you’re in Fredericksburg, don’t pass up the opportunity.

Very cool little place in downtown Fredericksburg. Theres maybe 20-25 seats inside. They greeted us right away and brought us chips and salsa. It was all great. I got the Barria tacos, only offered Wednesday and Saturday. The flavor was terrific, and I’d order them again. My wife ordered the taco salad and loved it as well. The rice wasn’t very good at all but other than great place
