In 1967, we opened our doors in Abilene, TX to share fresh, authentic Mexican food. Now, almost 52 years later, while the other guys have turned to packaged and processed foods, we’ve stayed true to our roots by crafting authentic recipes in each of our kitchens. We do things the Bueno way, and you’re sure to taste the difference.

Absolutely unacceptable experience. The packaging of my food was a complete mess, food spilled everywhere, wrappers completely soaked and falling apart, and no care taken at all when preparing the order. It looked thrown together without any concern for quality or cleanliness. This ruined the meal entirely. Basic food handling and packaging standards were not met, and this location seriously needs to do better.

I never leave reviews but I didn’t even get to try the food cause the kid working the mic said “I have an important message for you, Morgan said she’s gonna spit in your food”. Cool, then I’m going to Wendy’s. I had never been to a taco bueno before so I wanted to try it but hell nah I ain’t gonna risk it whether they’re joking or not. 6pm 11/23/25.

Came here the other night. The drive thru speaker wasn’t working. The speaker had a sign that said announce when pulling up because the sensor wasn’t working. Myself and a bunch of other cars sat there saying hello a lot with no answer. Finally pull up and ask if it’s not working and the worker said no. I told him he should let the customers know because of the line building up. He said “ok” and didn’t do anything about it. I get it work can suck but come on. At least try an care about your customers.

Customer Service was non existent and only 1 couple had been inside the restaurant along with another pick up. Drive thru was empty. Wasnt greeted or acknowledged for over 10 minutes. Although a girl in the kitchen kept making eye contact, but refused to say anything.

Buenos vary wildly by location, and this might be the worst one in the area. Whoever owns this franchise clearly does not care about it at all. The food is fine, if you have the endless patience necessary to wait for it. Avoid.

The drive thru speaker was broken, the line of cars was very slow moving, and the employee at the window had to fill my drink at the lobby fountain, due to broken fountain equipment at the drive thru. This is my first time back in a while. Close to a year ago the ice machine in the lobby wasn’t working, very dirty floors, and the man at the front counter had dirty long fingernails. Corporate really need to tale a serious look into this location.

Wouldn’t even sell me food. Then guy and girl were talking i couod see them so he finally came to drive through window and said they were in “shift change”. Turned me away at 3:45pm. Turned the other vehicles away behind me also. Ill NEVER GOTO A TACO BUENO AGAIN.

Went through the drive through. Sensor was broken, there was a sign saying to speak when ready to order. Tried on 3 different occasions and then decided to go to the windows to try and order there. I sat for a while waiting for someone. But they were all to busy looking at their phones
