Great neighborhood spot. The workers are super nice and accommodating, the prices are so great. You could get lunch here for under $10 and be plenty full! Not to mention the large convenience store attached will provide you with anything else you could be wanting re fuel wise. I loved how they brought us our food and checked if it was good and all it was a full service restaurant in a convenience store with employees who care!

We stopped by here after visiting the Davis Graveyard and got the beef taco salad which was amazing! The workers were very friendly and food was well priced too

I’m not a fan of the phrase ‘hidden gem’, but for this place, I’ll make an exception. We had lunch here twice in a week and we don’t repeat very often when we visit an area. The lamb shawarma was excellent- the flour tortilla wrapping is a different presentation but it totally works. The chicken taco special (4 for $10) is a fantastic value. I had a steak quesadilla the second time and it was fabulous as well. The baklava was also very nice. Super friendly people and excellent value for a great casual meal. Don’t be put off by the location inside a convenience store

I’ve been coming here at least a few times a week for a few months since they’re right down the road from work, but more and more I’m traveling across the city to eat here, the food and prices are that good! My go to order lately is samosas and fresh KUNAFA!! 2 bucks a piece for freshly handmade samosas, with a delicious chutney! Kunafa that’s not too sweet, just right, either cold or warmed up, also handmade! The lamb and rice plate with salad is huge, the meat is so tender and flavorful, and it’s only 10 bucks but feeds me for 2 meals. And oh my god the mango lassi is to die for, literally. So smooth and mango-y and not too sweet (to my palate, that’s the highest compliment). The guys who work the kitchen and the man at the register are all so incredibly sweet and welcoming, they treat me like family every day. The atmosphere is like an old school corner store, southeast Portland “bodega” vibe. I hope it never changes.

Lamb Gyros are phenomenal. Can’t beat the price. It’s hard to find good food in Portland for under $10.. they have daily specials two for 15 on Sundays for the lamb gyros. I would call this place a diamond in the rough. Anytime you’re passing through 45th and Johnson Creek. You should definitely stop and grab a gyro.

This place has a DELICIOUS chicken shawarma and hummus. Best I have found in Portland and it’s even at a great price. 2 for $15 on Saturdays is a crazy deal, like pre pandemic good. The workers are always so kind and gracious. Would definitely recommend!

Listen. I wouldn’t take a date here if I was trying to impress them. I would (and do!), however, grab some food from here a couple times a month on my way home from the office.
The atmosphere is goofy and odd: a few booths behind a half wall topped w decorative lattice in the front corner of a very well stocked and admirably maintained corner store. It’s not the kind of place I stay and eat but the FOOD IS FIRRRRRE-uh!
The folks behind the counter are always friendly and efficient and the food they make is delicious.
I stick with the lamb over rice plate which is enough food for two meals or one giant nap inducer if I’m feeling gluttonous.
I strongly recommend this place if you want some Mediterranean food that slaps. (I hear the burger is nothing to sneeze at, either.)

The chicken samosas and dipping sauce were very tasty. I enjoyed the lamb meat in the gyro, but the addition of ketchup as a sauce is strange and I did not enjoy it. Very friendly and attentive service.

Don’t be fooled by the fact that this little spot is inside a market/convenience store. Absolutely delicious gyros and great service.
I’m lactose intolerant so so my gyro pic is missing all the yummy sauces and feta but I’m so thankful they’re willing to alter and make substitutions so that I can enjoy a gyro too!
They have both Mexican and Mediterranean food at this spot and even a little plush of American too with a burger and fries option.
So glad I discovered this spot on my lunch break!
Very affordable as well.

Haven’t tried the middle eastern menu yet, but the Mexican menu was nothing to rave about. Got 3 tacos and a chicken chimichanga. Both were very bland. Also, the tacos were served with lettuce and cheese so it’s a very Americanized interpretation of Mexican food. Will update after I try the middle eastern dishes.
