Stopped by the newly renovated Taco Bell on Cumberland today, and I have to say — the staff were fantastic and the food was solid. No complaints there!
BUT… the lobby layout looks like it was designed by an AI that was only trained on escape rooms and fever dreams. The drink station is directly across from the kiosks and next to the pickup counter, so the whole center of the room turns into a little traffic jam of soda refills and Crunchwrap retrievals.
Ordering on the kiosk was… an adventure. I’m pretty sure I answered more questions there than I did on my last job application.
And the biggest heartbreak: a two-story Taco Bell that doesn’t actually let customers go upstairs. I was ready for a Baja Blast balcony experience — maybe a Crunchwrap mezzanine — but alas, the second floor is off limits. Totally fair, but man, what a tease.
Overall: Great employees, good food, quirky layout that could use some tweaks. Still worth a visit, especially if you’re curious about the most mysterious second floor in Knoxville.

I ordered my food over 40 minutes ago and I never got my food. They lost my order and the worker women said that “it wasn’t her problem” how dare you! I order from Taco Bell all the time, but I will not be coming back to this one. Never count on Taco Bell to give you your order, because god forbid you already paid and you want your food!

Spent $30 and half of my order wasn’t given to me so I had to go all the way back to get it. Then the food was COLD from having to go back and BOTH quesadillas had little to no filling! Taco Bell is one of my favorite places so very disappointing!

I get the idea of the delivery window but theres a issue. Students use it too, when its snowing outside and the store is slammed delivery drivers dont appreciate sitting in the cold for 20 mins waiting on a order.

Seems to be a good little place to get something to eat for lunch and dinner, there is just a lot of foot traffic (homeless people) which I dont mind, I usually help a few and then feel bad that I cant help them all but it is nice info to have for the people that do mind! Or even for the ones looking to help out around the holiday season ❤️

I’m delivering for Uber Eats, and they have the door locked, with a counter full of food, making everyone go through the drive thru. I mean this is just ignorant. If you have those orders ready to go, and could get rid of them, why make everyone go through the drive thru. It just congests the store. Just plain stupid. It’s not for lack of staff either, I seen 6 people moving around in there. Surely one could man the door to get that food out.

The servers are not clean. They were picking stuff off the floor, picking their nose, and playing on their phones with gloves on. We heard cursing when we walked in. The place was relatively clean in the lobby especially the drink machine was well taken care of.

Taco Bell is holding orders and not allowing customers to pick them up, horrible horrible service. Orders are getting cold while the line stretches out of the parking lot, knocked on the door and the employees don’t care. Asking customers to wait in a 25min drive thru line when their order is already ready to be picked up is absolutely ridiculous
