Creamy Coriander- 8/10
Mughalai Chicken- 7/10
Garlic and chilli naan- 8/10
Garlic naan- 7/10
Spicy Guava- 5/10
Ordered Volcano Chicken, Creamy Coriander in appetizers. Vol Chicken was kind of chicken 65 and creamy coriander has a lite cream texture and coriander flavor. Taste was good with both the appetizers. Chicken was in a good bite size. Portion size is not worth the money. Little portion for the cost they are charging.
Mughalai Chicken with Garlic naan and garlic chilli naan was good too, but again the portion size was not worth the price. Not sure if naans were fresh or frozen, because once they cooled down after 10-15 mins of serving they were very chewy and hard.
SpicyGuava in drinks was not so worthy, did not have much guava flavor, drink felt very bland in taste.
Ambience and service were very good and lively.
By the time we arrived , only 2 tables were occupied and restaurant was mostly empty around 6pm.
And Couple of dishes almost took 30-40 mints to be served.
Samosa – Crispy and lightly spiced. Good.
Papdi Chaat – Simple flavours , well done.
Chicken Tikka – Chicken tikka was cooked well and had good flavour.
Malai Methi chicken – Flavour was ok but chicken was slightly over cooked. And we waited a long time to get it on our table.
Five fifty five babycorn – just ok, was super tangy and took forever to be served. We had to politely remind our waitress for this.
We were planning to order few other dishes but dropped the idea after seeing such delay.
Masala Soda was balanced but Tropical shade mocktail was super sweet l:
Overall, just loved the new restaurant that has an wonderful ambience which is perfect for families and friends, highly recommended
We tried several chicken appetizers and they were all really good. The highlight for me was the mutton ghee roast, it was truly awesome!
They also have an outdoor seating area, but I couldn’t sit there due to the weather. Hopefully next time!
Overall, a wonderful experience. I’d love to visit again and again. Highly recommended!
During our pre-opening visit, Tabla made a very strong first impression. The owners personally came to our table multiple times to ask for feedback, which made the experience feel welcoming and thoughtful. Service was excellent, especially their willingness to customize a dish, which was handled smoothly and with care.
One standout example was the Malai Kofta. Pre-opening, it tasted rich and fresh, was presented beautifully, and came finished with cream on top—exactly as shown in the picture. Portions were generous, flavors were balanced, and the overall plating felt refined. Welcome drinks were also offered, which added to the premium feel.
When we returned after opening, the experience unfortunately went downhill. The same Malai Kofta tasted different, lacked the richness from before, and came with no cream and no real presentation—a noticeable downgrade compared to the earlier visit. Portion sizes across dishes were smaller, and the attention to plating was missing. Welcome drinks were also no longer offered.
This was especially surprising because we visited on a Saturday night early, and the restaurant was not busy at all—only about three tables were occupied. Despite the light crowd, food quality and presentation did not match what we experienced before opening.
Overall, the post-opening experience felt average. The dishes felt common and similar to what you’d find at many other Indian restaurants in the area, without a clear “modern” or differentiated element to justify that positioning.
In short, Tabla Colony showed real promise before opening—great service, customization flexibility, strong flavors, and polished presentation. After opening, consistency seems to be an issue. Hopefully this is just an early adjustment phase, and the restaurant can return to the quality and care that made the pre-opening visit so impressive.
The ambiance of the place is really calming and well-maintained, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy your meal. The staff were extremely polite and attentive, and the customer service made the whole experience even better.
Overall, this restaurant truly exceeded expectations — amazing food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere. Definitely a must-try!
