What a fabulous night for Valentine night.
We had a best Omakase in Ann Arbor, MI totally unexpected and amazing with the quality of fishes which imported directly from Japan weekly plus that wasabi.. this is the best Omakase I have tried compared from the one we had at New York.
The price of 12 course of meals— every bite of fishes are extremely fine and melting in our mouth plus the unstoppable complimentary sake with this unbelievable price.
I would triple recommend anyone who live in West Michigan to go try this place with no doubt.

We were so excited to hear that there’s finally a spot in Ann Arbor that offers omakase experience, so we had to check it out at Tabe! And I am so glad we did because we were blown away by this place. We did the Essential Omakase package which is 7 courses for $90 each. It felt like way more than 7 courses and we were absolutely stuffed by the end. The appetizers were DELICIOUS, so flavorful and unique. The fish was so fresh, they fly it in from Japan multiple times per week. It was great being able to speak to the chefs, and they show you what each fish is and where each fish comes from before they serve you each piece. It was such a great experience I can’t wait to go back and bring more of my friends!

Absolutely LOVE this place. The most fresh sushi with an elegant atmosphere. I am so happy they opened up in Ann Arbor, I will be coming here as often as I can.

Omakase was amazing, the price is 100% worth it. I would eat here everyday if I could! Leo is amazing and so is all the staff, they make you feel so welcome and comfortable. Eating here is an experience you will not regret!

We did the omakase experience and it was great. Food was incredibly fresh. We picked the earlier reservation at four so we could have the meal by ourselves and it was great talking to the chef and getting to really savor the food. It was extremely clean and we would do it again.

Such a cool spot, I was blown away!

I had the privilege of speaking with the head of the restaurant before my meal as I got there early and was waiting for my date.

I have spent many years of my life working nearly every job you can name in a range of restaurants and managing pizza spots. I could tell right when I walked in that there was a very strong leader behind Tabe.

You can tell how each member of the staff was well trained and leading with a service oriented approach. The atmosphere is amazing, three total floors!

Ground floor is a little more casual, I was sat on the second floor which leans towards casual fine dining. Restaurant was spotless. The second floor sushi bar is such a cool setting, complemented by great lighting and decor to set the vibe just right.

Our server was really kind and attentive, great human being!! Never once felt like I was waiting on anything and he had good suggestions for what to order.

Apps options are deep with a really cool fusion flair, try the sushi tacos for certain!

My brother is a sushi chef working for largest wholesale Japanese fish distributor in the US. I know quality sushi and Tabe had excellent selection and very fresh product. The Tuna and Yellow Tail sashimi was out of this world. Rainbow roll a must try.

We did not drink but for the quality of food, excellent service from multiple members of the staff, and atmosphere of Tabe, $50 per person was very reasonable.

I’m going back and brining more friends to experience the joys of Tabe!

We had the omakase and it was truly the best ever — every bite was perfection. The sushi was incredibly fresh, beautifully balanced, and presented with such artistry. You can taste the passion and precision in every course.

A huge thank you to Leo, Jeffery, Victor, and Ling for making the evening unforgettable. Their warmth, knowledge, and attention to detail elevated the entire experience.

This is hands down one of the best sushi restaurants in Michigan — an absolute must-visit for anyone who appreciates authentic, top-quality omakase.

Our first time here today. It was absolutely delicious. We got the pad Thai and the ramen. Both we loved. Hot tea is delicious. Service was spot on. Environment calming and inviting! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Our server Josh was great!! He refilled our glasses as frequently as a 3 star Michelin restaurant. The sushi was the best in town, easily clearing Azalea across the street. House sake was spectacular. Atmosphere was extremely quiet when we came which was nice. Wished they had a little bit louder music but that’s getting nitpicky

Ann Arbor’s Omakase Oasis

Choosing the omakase at Tabe is less a meal and more a front-row seat to culinary artistry. It’s an act of trust, and the chefs reward it brilliantly. Having the head chef personally guide us through each course, explaining every perfect bite, transformed the dinner into a truly special and engaging experience.

The quality was simply flawless, from glisteningly fresh fish to the culinary theater of scallops being seared with a blowtorch right before our eyes. The passion and friendliness of the staff match the incredible food.

Tabe isn’t just serving the best high-end sushi in Ann Arbor—it’s crafting one of the city’s most memorable dining experiences. An absolute must-try.

My husband and I did the omakase experience for an early Valentine’s Day dinner and it was phenomenal. We did the “premium” option. I even had to take some sushi home, it was so much food. So many different kinds of fish and seafood, and even wagyu beef. I’m pescetarian, and they made substitutions as needed, no problem. My favorite was maybe the Chilean sea bass. Or the sashimi, or honestly all of it, I couldn’t even tell you. It was so luxurious with caviar on top, or roe, or a bunch of other fun, delicious accents. We got complimentary sake with each course and a delicious, beautiful dessert. I loved it all, and I loved hearing the head chef talk about and explain the dinner before starting. The service was phenomenal, our waitress was a sweetheart. We even got a rose and some sake to take home since we said we were celebrating Valentine’s Day! 10/10, I would recommend the omakase experience at Tabe Ann Arbor to anyone looking for a fun, delicious dinner!
