Heard great things about this place and gave it a try for dinner. the portion sizes are small with the price and portion sizing not match ing (these 2 things were 37$) the ACP was just rice and chicken, no veggies in the bowl. They also only have few canned sodas to pick from (no fountain drinks) the rice was a little dry and flavorless

I was delighted to have the opportunity to drop by Ta Contento for lunch. The atmosphere is modern Mexican and they have a wider alcoholic drink selection than you might anticipate. I had a margarita chips and queso and a burrito bowl for about $25. Everything was excellent. The chips were light and fresh and queso was on point. The burrito bowl was amazingly flavorful with plenty left over for another meal. As I was wrapping up, I ordered some gluten free yuca fries and plantains and they switched the oil for me.

I came across this place while browsing Maps for someplace good to eat.
The description of their burrito sounded pretty good, so I decided to go for it.
As I was approaching the door, a sign caught my eye, announcing that they were now offering a Birria Quesadilla, so I ordered that.
It was SO DELICIOUS!
The atmosphere was very pleasant as well, and the employees were friendly and informative.

I’d rather treat myself in support of a locally owned, family run business than to ‘run to the border’ and order the same at half the price but with questionable toppings, corporate mandated shortcuts and made by some1 who has no stake in or care of the quality of food or service.
This is a great spot and I look forward to trying more on the menu.

First and foremost as soon as you walk in the ambiance hits you! With the hanging Golden Pothos and window succulents, the reggaeton soundtrack, and the well-crafted berry mojito all contribute to a positive dining experience. The fajita quesadilla and oreo cheesecake recommendations add to the appeal. The Excellent customer service was a plus! All with little to no wait time. If you are traveling to Chapel Hill this restaurant will not disappoint you!

The FOOD IS DELICIOUS! So delicious in fact, that I ate it so fast I forgot to take photos of it before eating. I had ACP, Chorizo dip and Guacamole dip. Everything was delicious and the rest of my party enjoyed their food aswell. My grandma got the fajita bowl and looooooved it. Will come back again! This is a self serving restaurant where you go to the counter and order but it still has a great atmosphere. If I wasn’t busy today I’d go back right now! Only down side is there’s no KIDS MENU. So I just had them make a cheese only quesadilla.

Everything about this place is excellent. Super nice people with smiles on their faces, clean dining, FRESH and delicious food. The burrito was huge (took a pic of my hand next to it for size comparison) and perfect. The queso dip…YASSS. And the chips were flavorful and just the right amount of light crunch. Not like the stale, hard, tasteless chips I’ve had from other popular Mexican restaurants. Sooo thankful I was introduced to this place and we will be back soon. My new GO-TO for Mexican food! Don’t waste your time or money going anywhere else, you’ll be satisfied with Ta Contento!
