Not sure if under new management but poor service this month. Taco portions are shrinking. Last time I went to order tamales and they said 5 minutes. After 17 minutes he came back to say 5 more minutes and said he only had beef when I paid for cheese and pepper. Told him to donate the food to someone else and walked out.

This place was better than most stand alone taco joints and I will be back!
I did an al pastor, and a lengua taco. The flavors were perfect, authentic, and while the tacos looked small they doubled up the tortilla and stuffed them with meat so they were super filling. Elote was delicious, but the sauce to corn ratio was a little heavy for me, so I added some corn I had at home to it.
100% try this place out- you will not regret it!

What happened to this location??? It was once great. We’ve been regulars here for years and loved it. tonight the burritos were nothing like they used to be. Prices increased pretty significantly, and less ingredients. ” steak” burrito is filled with more refried beans than anything else! I didnt order a bean burrito but its all i taste when i bite into it. Definitely a fraction of the meat they used to put in it. So disappointing. We won’t be back.

To the Tu Canijo cashier (the gal with the nose ring) at the gas station in Lockport who took my taco order yesterday: I was amused at your negative attitude when I passed on giving you a tip for ringing up my order, turning 180 degrees to your right, grabbing my order, turning back 180 degrees to your left, and subsequently pushing my order at me dismissively. And it was an especially nice touch when you completely ignored me after I said, “Thank you.” I know that some people believe that take-out cashiers are entitled to a large tip nowadays (and it’s not my job to point out how ridiculous this is), but I do not. But because of your lousy attitude and sense of entitlement, I will be sure to make my humble weekly taco order at another local establishment that doesn’t hustle me for un-deserved tips. Really good food, but i drove 15 minutes to get here (passing several mexican food spots on the way) and they were closed during normal business hours. The food is really good, but not worth a 15 minute drive to find out if they are open or not.

Good luck! Ordered about $75 for takeout and they forgot a dinner which unfortunately happens sometimes. But after several attempts to call back with no answer, I drove all the way back for the forgotten items and/or refund of what was missed. Cashier wouldn’t provide me manager/owner name or a way for me to contact and wouldn’t take my information down either. Visited website and submitted multiple requests via “contact” as well as called various locations to reach owner. Only received an ai generated response where I replied with a copy of receipt and absolutely nothing from anyone now for well over 3 weeks. Clearly, they are uninterested in making this right which is why I will never patronize any of their locations or trucks again.

I’ve been here twice, and all of our food was barely warm and very dry. The beans were very pastey, and the steak on my burrito was also dry, bland, and barely warm. They actually charge $2.50 for a half avocado add-on, and guacamole is only available if they make it that day. The lady behind the counter has that “I hate being here look ” with no smile or thanks for your business, so I will not be a returning customer.
