T Equals Fish: A Delightful All-You-Can-Eat Seafood Experience in LA
Reviews
You get two kinds of marinated crab, shrimp, a ton of side dishes, and fish cake soup. The shrimp is my favorite—so tender and sweet, I had three bowls! We also tried the uni rice, and it was incredibly fresh. Parking’s free, but they do charge $2 for seaweed.
With all the banchan and crab, we left full and happy. I liked the spicy crab better but the regular soy was also tasty
The original marinated crab was amazing—so fresh and rich. The shrimp was even better, with a great texture. We also got grilled eel for the kids, which was surprisingly tasty. Definitely ask for the Korean chocolate at the end—it’s a treat.
My favorite things to order here are the spicy marinated raw crab, the crab baekban, and the spicy crab soup. The quality here is SUPER fresh, and I love the flavors. So glad to have discovered this place!
There’s a parking lot in front for customers of the plaza, so thankfully I haven’t had trouble finding parking both times I’ve been here. Definitely would recommend for anyone who likes marinated raw crab! Excellent quality, price, and service.
Bunch of side dishes and good quality sashimi
My wife and I ordered the A.Y.C.E. crab set ($39.99 each) as well as the rainbow roll. The food came out quickly with a pot of fish cake soup (two skewers) and a variety of side dishes.
The shrimp was not deveined, nor did it have that umami salty flavor. It just tasted like soy sauce shrimp.
The spicy crab and soy sauce crab had good flavor, but you could tell the crabs were not marinated long. The shells were extremely hard. They were also on the small side. Generally, marinated crab should not be hard, but these were rock hard, and I ended up not eating the claws as the effort took away from the eating experience.
We were disappointed in the marinated crab and the rainbow roll. I felt the fish could have been fresher, and the size for being almost $20 could have been larger. Side dishes were okay but nothing spectacular.
I can’t comment on the rest of the food, but if their signature dish is lacking, then I can only imagine how the rest of the food could be.
We paid $128 after tax and tip for 2 A.Y.C.E crab dinner and 1 rainbow roll. Money is not really a concern as long as the quality warrants the price. There was only one server, but she was prompt and courteous, and since I am able to speak Korean well, there were no issues, but they speak English as well.
One sanitation issue is I found a chewed up crab shell in the box of gloves given to us. It was very disgusting, but the restaurant was overall clean. Parking was strange as there was a street carnival on Vermont Ave, so they made sure we were eating in the strip mall before we parked. Also, the AC was turned off when we came in, and at the end of our meal, they turned it back on.
We will probably not come back. This place is more for drinking with your family and friends and sharing food as the quality is lacking. The seafood tower seems interesting, but i’m not willing to risk another bad experience.
