We had the best server today! Burger was so attentive and kind, despite how busy he was caring for so many tables. Our food was absolutely delicious, and our drinks were amazing. I love a place that has delicious guacamole, queso and beans. Each is perfectly made!

Fantastic Cadillac margarita and Baja fish tacos and elote! I stop by for lunch and the staff is amazing and the music is always solid! Mia and Makenna and Charli always take excellent care depending on what day I come by, and all are wonderful to see! Love EDM nights because it’s just a short drive downtown and you get an EDM show right in downtown! Loved the set by derberdans and others last time! ✨

Food was okay nothing too amazing but the service was lacking. Came here on a Wednesday so not a super busy night.

When we sat down we had our 9 year old son and we asked what sodas they have and our severe said “this isn’t really a kids restaurant” felt condescending but we ordered him a coke. We understood they didn’t have a kids menu and we were not worried about that but they didn’t have a list of non alcoholic drinks listed. I ordered the mango margarita. The margarita was delicious and strong. For tacos I ordered the carne asada and Pineapple Express, the server incorrectly put my order in for chipotle chicken and Pineapple Express so I had to wait a little longer for the carne asada. They thankfully did not charge for the chicken one but our friend ended up taking that one home. I do like the size of the tacos, 2 is the perfect amount to be filling. But I wasn’t really impressed with the flavor of the tacos, the Pineapple Express tortilla was falling apart and couldn’t be eaten like a normal taco.

Our sever also never came back after they delivered our food and we had to go inside and stand at the bar to pay our tab. The outdoor seating it neat and fun but they definitely forgot about us later. Overall the experience wasn’t great and the food is just okay. I wouldn’t come back here.

This is one of my favorite places to get tacos downtown! I love the food and the atmosphere. I had such a great experience this past weekend. The chef that was there that night was an absolute sweetheart! My drink and food were amazing! It can be a bit on the pricey side though. I would highly recommend the chocolate gluten free cake! It really shocked me how good it was! The Sopapillas were delicious!!! I love cheese so the queso was a must for me and was perfect! I got the Pineapple Express taco which was good but will probably try someone else next time. My sangria swirl was just the right touch of everything! Would highly recommend checking them out!

To me, this is the “neither agree nor disagree” of restaurants.
Food? Average.
Drinks? Average.
Service? Also average.
Vibe? You guessed it… average.
Staff attentiveness was below average, though the “we’d rather be literally anywhere else” energy was impressively above average.

Wonderful food, drinks and service. They have great happy hour prices. The margaritas, chips with salsa and queso, quesadillas, and nachos were all very good. I didn’t get our servers name but she was awesome. We enjoyed sitting outside since the weather was nice. We’ll definitely go back for happy hour again.

Burger gave the best service I’ve seen since coming here for the last couple months. My friend and I came in for lunch while they were filming some content behind the bar. Dude has some serious bar flair and great personality. Wish I could attach some behind the scenes videos from today. Food as always was amazing!

T-Byrds Tacos & Tequila in Downtown Colorado Springs has a great look: their branding and decor is on-point. The service, however, was severely lacking to the point it was non-existent.

LOCATION
First, let me begin with their location: T-Byrds was easy to locate and they were across from the park. Find the first open parking spot and walk over to the restaurant.

ATMOSPHERE
Upon entry, we were greeted by the gentleman behind the bar. The music was a little loud for conversing but it didn’t bother me much because I enjoyed the music – it was just hard to hear my coworkers during our table conversations.

FOOD
I thought the food was okay. Here is a list of items I ate:
– CARNITAS TACO: The meat was tough and the pico de gallo was okay. I’m not sure why it was topped with green bell peppers. That wasn’t described on the menu. Plus, I thought it was weird. Why not just a simple cilantro to top?
– PINEAPPLE EXPRESS: This was the better taco of the two. The pulled pork was juicy in the sweet Thai chili sauce and bits of pineapple. The crunchy fried onions on top surprisingly complemented the entire taco.
– GRILLED ELOTE BOWL: I enjoyed this side dish over the two tacos. The corn bits were perfectly grilled. It had a nice bite to it and the flavors were great.

SERVICE
The service was atrocious. Our server didn’t bother to check on us – we flagged her down once during the only time she passed our table. The bartender even passed us as well as another employee. Not one asking if we needed anything. Nothing. The funny thing is the restaurant wasn’t even full! I think our party would’ve enjoyed the food and atmosphere more had the service been better.

Overall, I think T-Byrds has potential for improvement. What they have going on perfectly IMO is the decor and branding. I liked their physical menu and the fonts (typography). Opportunities for the biggest improvement would be in customer service. As for the tacos, they are definitely different from the tacos I’ve had in SoCal. I prefer a simpler menu with simple ingredients as opposed to fusion/“trendy” tacos. The presentation was off – definitely wouldn’t use green bell peppers to top off tacos or “julienned” onions that appeared to have been cut by either a dull knife or a 5-year-old.
