Located in beautiful Peeples Valley, the T-Bird Cafe` offers a dining experience unique in rural Arizona. Prepared in our authentic, wood-burning Tuscan oven, with made from scratch pizza dough, sausage, sauces, dressings, select spices, meats and local produce, this just might be the best pizza in Yavapai county, (maybe the world).

This restaurant is truly a gem. All of my favorite things in one! Estate sale shopping, chocolate sourdough desert, fresh wood fired pizza, Italian sodas, coloring books…..
There’s so much detail, effort, and love put into this restaurant. You can tell the owners and staff love this place.
The service is absolutely top-notch all the way to the woman in the kitchen doing the dishes. Kind friendly and just wonderful wonderful homemade fresh food.

We stopped for lunch around 1 PM last Saturday at the T-Bird Cafe in Peeples Valley while passing through the area. The place is easy to spot along Highway 89 and has a small-town café feel that fits the rural setting. Their sign boldly claims “Best Pizza in Yavapai County (maybe the world),” which sets expectations pretty high. It may very well be among the better pizzas in the county, but for me it didn’t quite live up to the “world” part of that claim.
We ordered a medium sausage, onion, and mushroom pizza along with two iced teas, and they brought out complimentary breadsticks while we waited. The café was clearly busy with pizza orders, and our wait time ended up being about 45 minutes, which felt a bit long for lunch but understandable given how full the kitchen seemed. The breadsticks were the standout—well browned, soft inside, and genuinely good, as shown in the photos. The pizza itself was solid and filling, with a well-loaded topping mix and a crust that leaned toward the thicker side. It was good enough that we ate a few slices there and took the rest to go, though we never ended up eating the leftovers later.
The total came to about $34 for the pizza and two iced teas, which felt a little high for a medium pizza in a small café, especially with the longer wait. Still, the place has a friendly, no-frills vibe and seems to be a popular stop for locals and travelers moving through this quiet part of Yavapai County. This is a decent stop if you’re not in a hurry and want a hearty pizza and excellent breadsticks in a laid-back setting, but it may not be the best choice if you’re short on time or expecting something truly exceptional.

Cute, authentic, and with a lot of character; we ordered pepperoni, pizza, deep dish, pizza, vegetarian, pizza, and a sausage sandwich, along with an espresso, coffee, and chai tea. Everything was delicious. Jacob was our service and was very personable. We will be back when we pass through town.

You have to stop here! We had the bbq wings and a pizza. Both were some of ,if not the best we have had. Awesome for a little side of the road joint in AZ.

Accidentally stopped there for lunch. Was somewhat hesitant but we went in and glad we did. Marvelous staff and yes the best pizza in the county. Had the personal pizza deep dish, everything on it and wow! Outstanding pizza. Can’t remember the last time I had a pizza that was loaded and tasty. You don’t any dipping sauce for the crust. It was scrumptious. Best pizza in Arizona not just the county. Can’t comment on the rest of the menu but I guess it might be pretty good. Worth the visit.

4 across the board. They claim to have the best pizza, which I wanted, but it was rather expensive. Decided on the cheeseburger instead. The burger was very good, however, I prefer iceberg lettuce instead of the other greens they put on it. Another thing I prefer is fries instead of chips. Oh well. I asked for well done and got it even though it was a fresh, not frozen patty. Usually those are always pink inside, but not here! The place was kind of cool with a pink T-bird out front. Worth a visit if you’re passing through.

Hidden gem of a place. A small quaint little place. Saw the reviews on the pizza so we stopped in for a visit and was pleasantly surprised. Some of the outdoor furniture needs cleaning, but the service was friendly and good was cooked and prepped well.

The waitress was nice and food is okay. We had a pepperoni pizza and a barbecue sandwich. They use disposable plates and that threw me off, honestly. Their restroom is shared, but it was clean. The one thing I disliked is they bring your tab before you finish eating! We felt rushed after that.
