If you are in Royal Oak, the RO Roast is a great place to visit. Usually plenty of seating inside and has outside seating. Very tasty lattes and tea. Has free WiFi is you need it.

We drove 10 hours from Minnesota to go to a concert in Royal Oak, so we wanted to find some cool places to eat and this place was perfect! The employee who took our order went out of her way to be friendly and make sure we got a place to sit during their busiest hours. Plus, the food came out super quickly and it was delicious! I’d highly recommend the Golden Joy latte and overnight oats. I joked that I’d come back to Detroit just to revisit this shop, but upon further consideration, I am very serious and we will be returning on a weeky basis.

You know a good coffee place when you go back to the same place every time. This is my my favorite coffee spot for many reasons. First they have a lot of variety on their menu such as hot coffee, ice coffees, smoothies, cold drinks, breads, muffins, breakfast, and lunch etc. You can tell they used high quality ingredients because of how fresh and whole-some everything tastes. For example, I am gluten free and they use Canyon Bakehouse breads that does not have a lot of fillers. Their banana bread, which is also gluten free is delicious and I don’t even like bananas. They have inside and outside dining. The inside dinning is cozy offering high chairs, booths, and tables. The outside dining is partially shaded. Everyone is super friendly including other customers. With all this said, they are an amazing brand, but what puts them over the top is the infused milk that they use. It is makes every sip amazing!

Great coffee, breakfast and lunch spot below the Griffin apartment complex. I had a hot coffee with almond milk and it was perfect on a chilly fall day. I’m a big bagel and lox guy and theirs has a great twist with avocado. The atmosphere is very warm inside and there’s ample seating for hanging out, working and eating. I wish I could give this place more stars! We were having a terrible morning before coming here, desperate for coffee and some food after a pretty bad experience in our hotel. The staff at Royal Oak and the atmosphere completely changed our mood as soon as we walked in. The food is fresh and tasty, the coffee is perfect, and the staff was so genuine and friendly- you can tell they really love where they work and each other. They also have great taste in music! Thank you Royal Oak for making our horrible day turn for the better! We really needed you guys today 🙂
