Szechuan House never disappoints, but their lunch special curry chicken with wonton soup is on another level. The curry chicken is packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and tastes incredibly fresh, SUPER SPICY JUST HOW I LIKE IT! — you can tell real care goes into every dish. The wonton soup is comforting, rich, and full of tender wontons that make it the perfect pairing.

Huge shoutout to Fong, who is always amazing and makes every visit feel welcoming, and to the cooks in the back who consistently put out top-quality food. You can taste the freshness and effort in every bite.

This is hands down one of the best lunch specials around. Great food, great service, and great people. I highly recommend Szechuan House to anyone looking for an outstanding meal — you won’t be disappointed!

Folks. This is your go-to place if you’re looking for a good Szechuan place in the area. Tbh I don’t have high expectation for Szechuan restaurants in American suburbs where most of the population is not East Asian or otherwise not familiar with spicy foods. This place is so so good!!! Every dish I tried so far was so tasty and rich in flavor.
– Bear in mind that dinner entrees do not come with any sides (rice or soup).
-Lunch has smaller portions but still enough for one person.
– The staff are very friendly. I always feel welcomed.
– The hall is very small and is mainly for takeouts I think.

My family and I were in the mood for takeout as we were discussing the Szechuan house came up in discussion but neither of us had tried it yet. So we decided to give it a go! The menu was fairly easy to understand, although I feel like if every food item had a picture ( some did on grubhub) it would be easier to understand what is what! The gentleman over the phone was so pleasant and made the ordering process efficient! I went and picked up the food with no problem at all, the place was very tidy and nice on the inside. I brought the food home and we were BLOWN away, the food was incredible and the portion sizes were perfect! Everyone loved their food and was equally impressed. We definitely will be going back and having them again.

Pictured below
The Yan Chow Fried rice: DELISH! It had a little bit of everything in it from mini shrimp, to actual egg, chicken, and vegetables.

Singapore mei fun; my father in law had this and thoroughly enjoyed it!

General Tao’s chicken: this was my dish and it was so so good! It wasn’t overly spicy and the sauce was yummy as well. The best part was the chicken was actually flavorful and moist! Not like your typical Chinese food chicken which is often dry. The breading was also not super thick which is a major bonus

Shredded chicken in black bean sauce: my brother had this and liked it as well!

Kung pao Chicken: my mother in law had this and she said it was probably one of the better dishes of kung pao chicken she had! She absolutely loved it!

Dry peppers chicken: this one we were going back and forth ordering because we weren’t sure what it was going to be but we are so glad we ordered it! The chicken kind of reminded me of popcorn chicken but lighter and spicer, definitely ordering again!

Doubled cooked pork: my husband had this dish and he loved every aspect of this dish, between the pork and everything else in the dish! He was thrilled with his food.

Last but not least, the wonton in chili oil!
This was amazing!! One would think that chili oil would be spicy but not at all! The sauce almost had a slight smoky sweet taste to it which was amazing! The wrapper also of the wontons was light which is different from your usual wontons! Everyone loved this as well!

Overall we loved this place and will order again! My only small suggestion is to have explanations in English under what everything is and what it has!

This is strictly a to-go place. I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh the ingredients are and the amount used to season the dishes. All of the food looks hand crafted, like the spicy dumpings and the scallion pancakes. The hot pot chicken really delivered on spice. I loved every bite as sweat rolled down my forehead.

I loooove Szechuan House! The spiciness is REAL, so prepare for that, but everything is so flavorful and so tasty. Work your way through the menu for a yummy adventure. The service is great, too. Very friendly, welcoming staff. I highly recommend them!

What happened? This was our favorite go to spot, but recently in the last few months it all changed? The noodles used to be unique and amazing, but now they are bland and boring like most other places. The cold sesame noodles were our favorite, now they are dry and mushy, and everything seems to have lost its edge. Tried 2x now and it’s the same.

I am so excited that this place opened and that there is finally some good Sichuan food close to home! Ordered takeout and could not be happier. The portion sizes are large, menu is vast, the food is delicious, and the staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and informative. They even called to let us know that our food would be ready soon so we could pick it up fresh and hot! Ordered vegetable fried rice, dry pot shrimp, fish in black bean sauce, and homestyle green beans. All of it was incredibly tasty. This is just what the town needed and we really enjoyed our food! Will definitely order again 🙂

New Chinese take out place recently opened in East Northport, right in the heart of things on Larkfield Road. As you walk in, place is tastefully simple and clean. Greeted by Nick is consistently friendly and obviously organized. Lunch specials are a good deal and everything we’ve tried, lo-mein, general Tzao, Chicken and dumplings, have all been seasoned perfectly, fresh and delicious!
They also have a variety of unusual (for me lol) ways to prepare various dishes that I look forward to trying soon! Feeling hungry, give Szechuan House a try and make a new friend in Nick!
