There were 4 of us on a Friday night on a big Newport weekend (Seafood and Wine Festival). The waitress was awesome (I wish I’d gotten her name), and very efficient and super friendly. She brought us a taste of dessert liqueur that was so delicious. The margaritas were as strong as ever and yummy. Okay, so somehow I left my credit card behind, but didn’t realize until noon the next day. I went in and sure enough it was in the cash drawer! AND they asked for ID before handing it to me, which is exactly the right way to do it and I’m so very grateful! I will definitely return every time I get within 20 miles of the place. Great Ribeyes!

Szabo’s Steakhouse & Seafood offers classic steak and seafood in a relaxed, comfortable setting, and our experience there was exceptional from start to finish.
The food was excellent, steaks cooked perfectly, seafood fresh and flavorful, and everything prepared with obvious care. What truly set this visit apart, however, was the service. Our server, Rachael, went above and beyond to accommodate our special dietary needs. She was attentive, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely kind, making sure everything was handled correctly and without making us feel like an inconvenience in the slightest.
It’s rare to receive service at this level anymore, and this was honestly the best service we’ve had in many years. Combined with the welcoming, laid-back atmosphere, Szabo’s delivers an experience that’s both comfortable and memorable.
We will absolutely return and highly recommend Szabo’s Steakhouse & Seafood, especially if you value great food and truly outstanding service.

We are here back in December and it was the most disheartening meals we’ve eaten in a long time. Having 3 out of the 4 meals be less than stellar we won’t be back. Yes they did comp one meal but it’s not worth a return trip.

This place doesn’t look like much from the outside but it had some of the best food we’ve ever had.
Truly the best clam chowder. I just can’t say enough good things about it.
I was a little skeptical trying a Philly cheese steak so far from the east coast but I’d say it was probably the best I’ve had outside Philly. The roll was perfect, meat and spices were perfect. Just everything about it was terrific.
The fried oysters were ridiculously good, too.
Our server was super nice and took very good care of us.

Food was so/so. Don’t expect fresh yummy options. The staff was very friendly and on top of things. Lots people. Crowded somewhat loud atmosphere. Even the waitresses had a hard time moving about. We weren’t impressed and will not be returning.

I am torn on this review, everything was great! I just don’t want the place to get so busy that I will need to wait to be seated. The food was good, the clam chowder was some of the best i have ever had! The salad was fresh, the halibut fish and chips was great, the steak was a mix of rare and medium but was fantastic! The service was great and everyone was happy.

Steak was cooked as ordered! Rest of the food was great. Nice and clean atmosphere with plenty of parking. Service was friendly and courteous. Next time vacationing will definitely come back and do highly recommend.

Great roadhouse that serves a wide range of comfort food with more TVs than Best Buy. Most of the patrons seemed to be locals. I had a Philly cheesesteak. It came with Au Jus like a French dip. It was a nice addition. My wife went with the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. But were very enjoyable. I had the clam chowder as my starter. It was decent.
The bar is very pedestrian with just basic base spirits and cheap mixers. Their only vermouth is Gallo. But I was able to get a very good margarita. Out waitress was excellent.
