Symposium cafe the past few months has become a place of comfort for me. The staff are incredibly lovely people, and great workers! As soon as you enter, you are warmly greeted! Often by name, too if you’ve been there before!
The atmosphere is clean, nice and calming. Their menu has a wonderful variety and prices very competitive compared to others in town!
The food is delicious, too! It’s a nice place fir any occasion!
Extremely special shout out to the ever so lovely Jamie. He is gem of the Symposium! Jamie’s lever of cre, attention to detail ad superior customer service is unmatched! He will remember names, details about you, and I’ve seen him repeat that with nearly everyone who comes through the door!
Jamie makes you feel welcomed, heard, seen, but most importantly he makes you feel special. That’s why I prefer to come here over other places in town.
His charisma and hard work ethic is incredible, the way he manages to master everyone’s vibe (fun and playful, sassy, professional, sweet, silly) Jamie is just perfect with customers.

We went for my brother’s birthday! Since it was a Monday the special was the burger for 10.99 and look how huge it is!! The chicken was also very good. The portions were very big we left stuffed We had such a lovely server! His name was Dee! ❤️If you are going, ask for him! Such great energy 🙂

This place is an absolute gem for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! I’ve never left hungry and I’m always amazed by the creative dishes they serve. Jammie, our server, and Vanessa, the daytime cook, are both incredible. Jammie’s memory and attention to detail are truly impressive, and I’m always impressed by him!. And let me tell you, Vanessa’s burger is the star of the show! It’s the picture I’m sharing today, and it’s definitely the best burger in Georgetown.
Monday special you can’t beat the price and double up that burger for sure. If this was my dinner, I’d put bacon and cheese on it lol

Went with a large family group for dinner because the menu had something for everyone, including vegetarian options. We ordered fish & chips, souvlaki, hamburger, Alfredo pasta and chicken Caesar salad. Portion sizes are large. No one had room for dessert. The fish and burger were pronounced outstanding, as was the house white wine, the souvlaki was acceptable but could have used more seasoning, the Alfredo was not a hit. The average for food was 3 stars.
The atmosphere is welcoming with comfortable seating, stone topped tables and lots of wall murals featuring renaissance artworks.
Service was outstanding and made for a positive experience overall.
The uneven quality of the meals is really the only drawback – if you have a large group with diverse tastes it would still be an excellent option. Just avoid the Alfredo.

Food here is pretty good and it’s a nice chill spot for brunch! Always good vibes here and the service is nice.
The waffles were the best size and adequate amount of sweetness. The wings were not the best but the other food they have makes up for it. Their calamari is great.
The mussels (discontinued now) were also really tasty with the white wine sauce.

Great food every time. Braised beef short rib dinner was absolute 10/10, first time trying, burger great and fresh as well. They also know how to do desserts better than the restaurants that only do desserts.
The daily specials beat any other restaurant I have been to in our area. Every day has multiple specials which is very rare, and it’s much better than “$2 off regular price” like some places offer. They also had live music playing on Wednesday which was very nice as well. Gem in the town.

Upon entering, I received a warm and cheerful welcome from Jamie, who also ended up being our server for a group of 17.
Jamie provided excellent service, he was friendly, efficient, and had a great sense of humor. Our drinks and food arrived at a perfect pace, with kudos to the kitchen staff as well. Jamie truly appeared to be the face of Symposium, seamlessly multitasking and keeping everything running smoothly while serving our large group.
The food was great. I ordered the egg benedict with smoked salmon, along with a fruit salad and raspberry mimosas, and everything was delicious.

Absolutely delightful experience at this restaurant! From the warm ambiance to the delectable breakfast options, our visit was thoroughly enjoyable. The food was delicious, especially the waffles that left us craving for more. The service was polite and attentive, making us feel right at home. The added touch of live music sometimes adds to the cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend for a lovely family breakfast outing. Their cakes are also a treat for the taste buds. I would love to come back again. The only thing I would like to suggest is to not write the menu options as vegetarian if they have egg in it. It was disappointing to see the eggs on the avocado toast when it was mentioned as a vegetarian option. Otherwise the visit was a beautiful experience. Thanks for having us!

I had the absolute best birthday start at Symposium thanks to my waiter this morning. I unfortunately didn’t catch his name, but I’m sure many know the charming, smooth-talking gentleman with the incredible sense of humor. His comical banter and warm energy completely made my experience, and he even made sure the whole restaurant knew it was my birthday lol!
He went above and beyond to make me feel celebrated, and it truly meant so much. Thank you tenfold for turning a simple meal into a memorable birthday moment. I’ll definitely be back!

We had our breakfast at Symposium and the experience was delightful. It is a beautiful and cozy place with impeccable service. Our server was amazing, she made sure we got everything we ordered. Flavours of food are not above and beyond however it is better than some of the other breakfast places. Overall it is a good place to eat. Looking forward to come back
