One of the only Greek spots offering a Kyma Thursday night feel in Suffolk county, since Noema closed down. I must say I been here a few times & this is my final time on Valentine’s Eve! Everything took forever the service was slow & the drinks were not good. The restaurant itself is beautiful welcoming decor & lighting. But damn what a let down!We specifically ask for Don Julio Blanco & yet they serve us Casamigos & the cocktail tasted terrible. It took us about 15min to get the complimentary bread. We tried to order the Seafood Tower, but they were out of the Shrimp. Then we tried to order the Feta Cheese & they were out of that too. From being to end it was a bad experience. The food took so long we ended taking most of it to go, including the desert.

FYI: They add a 20% service charge on the bill & an additional 3% if you use a credit card! Even w/ the slow & bad service we still had a $100 tip. This is something recent I threw my birthday in the end of 2024 & the fees were not automatically added to the bill!

Get the cheesecake!!!!
The watermelon salad is excellent, very refreshing and a unique combo of flavors. The Lamb chops with lemon potatoes tasted great and was a good portion.

The Lobster Pasta was good, but tasted too similar to the Saganaki Shrimp appetizer. The waiter should’ve advised against ordering these two things together!!

The table was too small for the plates they use and it made it difficult for my wife and I to share all the food as we always do. They knew we were sharing and hadn’t offered to split the soup or anything else for our convenience. Also the soda is bad.

Overall my meal at Symi was pretty good, and the restaurant has a fun lively atmosphere, but I’m not in a rush to come back.

From the initial greeting to the food, to the service and caring attention, 5 stars easily. Our server Athena was so amazing. Personalized touches and great suggestions. The pork chops were so moist, fish super tasty, appetizers were perfect. Desserts were homemade. And drinks fantastic! This was the second time and it only gets better. We will return for sure.

Started with a very nice greeting at the door, inside of the restaurant was done very nicely. Started with some cocktails then for appetizers had the eggplant and zucchini chips. As well as the grilled octopus. Both fantastic. For mains we had a whole fish and lamb chops. Of the 4 things we tried could not pick a favorite all were very very good. Service was top notch.

Symi in Northport is serving up high quality Greek cuisine with a mix of well-executed seafood, grilled meats, and appetizers. The elegant dining space is great for date night or a special occasion. We absolutely loved the food! This video we will highlight all the food and drinks, with a follow up video to come, capturing the details of the beautiful ambiance that Symi has to offer.

To start we got the Symi Chips that were lightly breaded eggplant and zucchini that were excellent! We love how they were lightly breaded, really letting those flavors of the vegetables still shine.

The Spanakopita is a classic that they are doing right – can’t go wrong!

The stars of the show were definitely the Lobster Pasta (serving options for 1 or 2) using their house made linguini and Main Lobster; and their Grilled Lamb Chops that were juicy and filled with amazing flavors!

We ended the experience with their Saragli (rolled baklava with nuts) – a must, and their Key Lime Pie that we shockingly really enjoyed – we aren’t typically the biggest fans, but theirs was amazing!

All the cocktails that I had were excellent and refreshing! Added bonus that they looked as good as they tasted!

We loved it here and we know you will too!

High end Mediterranean/Greek food, beautifully prepared and presented. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The grilled whole fish were delicious and the grilled octopus is to die for. We didn’t have dessert but the choices were very appealing.

As someone who loves to cook and appreciates the art of flavor and presentation, Symi in Northport is an absolute standout. From the moment we sat down, it was clear this wasn’t just another Greek restaurant – it’s a culinary experience that blends authenticity with refinement.

For appetizers, we dove into the Sesame Feta and Grilled Octopus. Both dishes were beautifully plated and did not disappoint. The Sesame Feta was perfectly crisp on the outside and warm, creamy inside – a delightful balance of textures. The octopus was tender, smoky, and full of flavor, setting the bar high for the rest of the meal.

Dinner was just as impressive. We ordered the snapper, chicken kabobs, and pork chops. The snapper, recommended by our server Alexandra (who clearly knows her wines and menu), was light, moist, and incredibly flavorful. The chicken kabobs were juicy and perfectly charred, while the pork chops were cooked to perfection – tender, succulent, and full of character. Each bite felt like a testament to the care and skill in Symi’s kitchen.

To accompany the meal, we enjoyed a 2015 Cabernet from Greece, a bold yet smooth pairing that elevated each dish. Alexandra’s knowledge and attentiveness made the experience even better.

I don’t mind a bit of a drive for a great meal – and at 40 minutes from home, Symi is absolutely worth it. It’s rare for me to find a place I’m eager to revisit, but I’m already planning my next trip to work my way through the menu.

If you’re craving authentic, flavorful Greek cuisine that’s crafted with love and artistry, Symi is the place to go. Whether you’re a foodie or just looking for a fantastic meal, this spot delivers.

Went for valentine’s day dinner. Valet parking was lovely. Quality of the food is great the steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well along with the fries. Best part was the cheesecake, without a doubt the best slice I’ve ever had. 10/10

Came to Symi in Northport for dinner on a Saturday DJ night—expected energy, but not to be blasted by a speaker two feet from our table. We politely asked the staff to lower the music just a bit (no one was dancing, people were shouting to talk), and they flat-out said no. Then midway through dinner, performers dressed as “gypsy” dancers came out, and the whole thing just felt loud, chaotic, and honestly tacky. The food didn’t make up for it—fish was okay, calamari was pale and chewy, and the Greek salad was overloaded with peppers.
