This place is the perfect stop for a hikers lunch or coffee to hit the road. They offer a selection of sandwiches and plenty of coffee drink options paired with a local atmosphere as the rest of the building is filled with art and wares from local artists and vendors. A good stop for a souvenir or simply to build community as they often hold events such as the winter market or even craft classes held by artists so make sure to check out their calendar. They have a large side room for dining but they also offer the room available to rent for small events like a shower/party etc. The sycamore tree outside is amazing in the fall, dropping giant leaves over the playground and dining area. I honestly believe they should have built a larger building because it seems to be packed every time I visit. And I love to stop by because the barista is so nice

My husband surprised me with a lunch date here, and it was such a great choice! You can eat inside the bright, welcoming dining area or outside at the picnic tables. There’s even a playset for kids and the Hanging Rock Battlefield Trail nearby.

We had the blueberry grilled cheese and the turkey apple cheddar (both on sourdough) with chips and salsa. I got a smoothie, and my husband had an iced coffee. Everything was fresh, delicious, and filling.

They also have a great retail section with locally made goods like cards, art, soaps, and more. Definitely worth a visit to support this wonderful local spot!

Fantastic little store with great food, atmosphere, location, and products. In the picture is a Sausage Egg and Cheese Bagel with Pesto and Mayo. It tastes great, and actually got me to like pesto.

The products in the store are all locally made and of high quality.

Go on in, get you a sandwich and a coffee, and take a nice stroll down the Battlefield trail, or dine in, and read one of the many books located along the wall. A really relaxing place.

Stopped by here on the way to the airport and had a nice time. They have some really unique food items here, and what I had was super fresh. I got the Blueberry Grilled Cheese and it was full of flavor, that sweet-savory combo hit just right. It came out quick, and the coffee was spot on, nice and strong. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and I loved browsing the shop while waiting for my order. The only issue was parking. The lot was packed, so we had to park on the grass across the street, which wasn’t the best. Still, totally worth stopping by if you’re around and want something tasty and different.

Sycamore Station is a small coffee and gift shop conveniently located at the end of the Battlefield Trail. It’s a great place to get a sandwich or beverage after a run or walk on the Battlefield or Hinchee Trails.

The food is limited but healthy and very tasty. Indoor and outdoor seating options are available. Kids can read, color, or play on the swing/gym set outside

The gift shop features local artisans. The coffee shop also offers different classes. They are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

A great place for a quick eat or a calm morning meal. Sweet and fast service. They also help explain menu items. It also is a cute store with nice nick knacks and snacks. If you are stopping in Salem on a road trip it would only make sense to stop here as it’s right off the highway. The inside seats around 26 people with majority being two seater. There is parking all around it. It is also ADA compliant with a ramp. Two sandwiches and a tomato soup ran about $15, so nice pricing considering prices these days.

On my way up Catawba Mountain to look at some property, I saw this coffee house conveniently placed at the intersection in the Hanging Rock area. I decided I would stop there on my way back if they were still open. Thankfully, my appointment was early, so when I came back through Hanging Rock, Sycamore Station was open! Little did I know it was so much more than a coffee house. It truly exceeded my expectations. It has a menu with a variety of homemade items from brunch to lunch, coffees & drinks from lattes, espresso, and more! The environment is very peaceful, cheerful , and more. The owners Nancy and Maggie we’re absolutely fabulous hosts! They sell a variety of high-end, handmade items that are either locally made by various artisans, from paintings to sculptures to ceramics to ornaments for your Christmas tree. It really has a wonderful variety of things. I got me a dirty chai latte and cranberry orange scone, and I was there for almost 2 hours just relaxing and enjoying the vibe. Everyone there was so pleasant. I love supporting local businesses♡ Especially when they, in turn, love what they do and their customers too!♡ They also have a variety of events every month. If you like to hike, bike, stroll, yoga, & more, do stop by. I promise you will not be disappointed. Thank you, ladies ♡

I was also at the catered event recently mentioned in a different review. I thought the chicken salad and pimento cheese were excellent. The chicken salad has a variety of other things in it like grapes, pecans and onion, doesn’t have much mayo at all and isn’t finely chopped. I think there’s a lot of different preferences for what’s in chicken salad. If you’re looking for lots of mayo, finely chopped chicken and sweet pickles, set your mind for a different tasty experience. The coffee provided was also excellent.
