Sybil’s has become one of my family’s favorites. The lunch special is a great deal for one: a whole plate of food with your choice of protein and rice/noodles with veggies and plantains for $7. The curry chicken, BBQ chicken, and jerk chicken are very good, all flavorful, tender, and juicy. Along with the guyanese patty, chicken/beef Jamaican patty, and coco bread, a lot of flavor, fresh bread/pastries. The hot sauce cup that comes with it isn’t just heat either, it has tang and spice. Mac and cheese is seasoned very well, super good.

The atmosphere of the bakery is welcoming; shelves stocked with baked goods and treats and a corner with tables for dining in. We will be coming here more. I recommend you give it a try.

I use to come all the time because they had the best patties and now they went down hill. The quality of the patties changed drastically. Jerk chicken patty use to have
a lot of shredded chicken in it and it was very meaty. Now it’s some type of chicken goop with barely chicken inside. The beef & veggie patties are always stale hard and crusty. It hurts your teeth when you bite in. This use to be my daughter’s favorite place. She’s a picky 7 yr old eater. This was the only place that she liked. Now she doesn’t want it anymore.

I had two beef and one ground chicken mini meat pies. They were lightly salty and savory. Each pie cost me $2.00, which I consider a good deal. I’m contemplating whether my stomach can handle two more because they were that good! In terms of size, they’re exactly like the mini fruit pies you can buy from Walmart. Initially, I was planning to go to the Korean joint 90 feet away, but I’m glad I visited this establishment.

This best Guyanese style food in Broward, the food is fresh and tasty. The cassava pone there’s always the best. I’ve been a coming here since they open up well over 10yrs now. The staff are friendly, I feel like family when I come here.

I came here to buy Guyanese food and pastries before getting on a flight yesterday. As expected (sadly) and as others have shared in their reviews, the service can stand some improvement; the attendant was very laissez faire in addressing my presence/making me feel welcome or communicating with me during the ordering process. She did, however, ring up my order promptly. My food order was put together by another person, a gentleman, who overheard my request for packing the food so it could withstand air travel, came forward, greeted me, served me everything I wanted, and specifically thanked me for my patronage. I enjoyed chicken chowmein for lunch on the plane – it was just right! The BBQ chicken quarters very tender and were okay in flavor – had those for dinner; I appreciate that he offered to cut it up for me. And this morning, I enjoyed a reheated bake with saltfish for breakfast – delish! I would come here again – they had an enticing variety of meals ready on the warmer; hopefully food flavor will be consistently good.

This sandwich should be illegal.

Saltfish. Bacon. Scrambled eggs. All of it wrapped in this ridiculously soft, chewy, magical bread-roti hybrid that makes you question every other breakfast choice you’ve ever made. I don’t know what kind of wizardry Sibyl is working with back there, but this thing didn’t just slap—it smacked, hugged, and whispered “you’re home now” in a Caribbean accent.

It’s the best freaking sandwich I’ve ever had. Full stop.
I need ten more. Now.

Great deals, great portions, great customer service!

We ordered 2-3 of the lunch combos, and the food was still hot when we got home. Our bellies were full, as we had enough food left to have for dinner. That is how generous the portions are! Tasty would be an understatement for the meals here.

Very tempted to drive back from Miami today to eat here again.

The desserts and pastries should not be overlooked either. Big selection of freshly baked goods!

Aunty Sybil, thank you!

Cassava pone was good not too sweet. Goat was a bit too oily for me though and could have been seasoned more. Make sure to order the roti and meat separately (you’ll thank me especially if you aren’t eating it right away)
