We chose Swordfish Sushi in Batavia to celebrate our 10-year anniversary, and it turned into one of the most special dining experiences we’ve ever had.
From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The food was outstanding—fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Every bite reminded us why Swordfish Sushi is such a gem.
But what truly made the night unforgettable was Joyce, our waitress. She went above and beyond in every possible way. Joyce took our picture, surprised us with dessert, and then completely blew us away by framing our photo for us as a keepsake. That level of thoughtfulness and care is incredibly rare and meant the world to us.
Thank you to Joyce and the entire Swordfish Sushi team for making our anniversary feel celebrated, personal, and truly special. This wasn’t just dinner—it was a memory we’ll treasure forever. We can’t wait to come back!

Had an absolutely amazing time here. It was well worth the drive and it blew away our expectations. The service and our server (Lucy? I believe) were amazing. She checked on us frequently and ensured we had a fantastic dinner. We tried a nice variety of the menu and we were not disappointed.
The Spicy Popcorn crawfish was an unexpected gem for sure. And the Swordfish was definitely a unique piece.(Pictured)
The best surprise was the balloon swords and receiving a framed copy of our picture at the end of service. That’s such a heartfelt and one of a kind service moment that really cemented our love for Swordfish!!

Very delicious sushi restaurant on Randall Road in Batavia. We visited on Saturday evening and the place was packed. We waited very long for our sushi, but management was very nice and even brought us free appetizers twice. So even though the weight was very long they were very nice and accommodating. The sushi is delicious, the drinks are very good and the prices are really not bad compared to other places nowadays. Highly recommend.

Almost everyone else loved it…. just not my or my hubby’s cup of tea. A niece didn’t care for it either. If it helps…. 7 out of 9 out of our dinner party liked their entrees. Few liked the miso soup or the salad that accompanied each (didn’t care for the dressing). Only 2 people (a couple ordering as one and sharing) ordered sushi. It was their choice to eat here. Appetizers were enjoyed by 6 out of 9 of our party. Hubby only enjoyed the potstickers and I enjoyed the crab rangoon. Altogether there were 2 each of 5 different appetizers. Bottom line, if you don’t ABSOLUTELY ADORE fish (even though, yes, there are other things besides on the menu, I suggest giving this one a pass. (Trying to be fair since it’s NOT something we would have chosen ourselves) ♀️

Outstanding experience. Sushi super fresh. Was a great surprise during our visit to Geneva. Also love the modern touch added to this restaurant with the robot servers and dry ice to add a visual element to their sushi. Also nice how they bring complementary samples of items to try to the table.

Disappointed last visit. They brought out the soup, salad and entree all at the same time. They bussed the table next next to us spraying what smelled like bleach 18″ or more feom the table instead of spraying on the rag first. Nothing like smelling bleach while you eat.

Sword fish is AMAZING! My family and I celebrated our mother for Mothers Day and this place was an absolute win! The atmosphere is very open, the waiters and waitresses are very polite and kind, and you have a direct view of the chefs at the sushi counters making fresh meals. On some occasions, they’ll serve free or taste-testing dishes upon your meal. For example, they gave our table a taste-test of Baby Shark Maki Rolls, (my brother was new to them) and a desert platter of chocolate covered fried-looking bananas all for free. If you’re looking for a dinner with high quality, color, presentation, and taste, this is the place you should definitely go!

I have been here over a dozen times and have had excellent sushi. However the last two trips have left a couple people in our group with some stomach issues .My last trip last night was no different as we usually dine in we took To go food because they said they had no working restrooms. This should has been a red flag.We will no longer frequent this place dine at your own risk. What kind of place does not get emergency plumbing?

Had a really nice dinner here a few weeks back. The sushi was very nice and fresh, they had many options and selections which was a refreshing experience so deep in the boonies. it was fun to both watch them make the rolls and check out the lil robo delivering everyone’s order . The staff were also nice, and would happily make you suggestions based on what you are in the mood for or what’s a super hit and fav. Their salad was just amazing a 5 star on its own. Although I was super disappointed by their fried rice, it was just quick hojpoj of white rice with some veggies shrimp and soy spice with their steam riced. I would recommend this place but avoid the FR.
