I came here for dinner with my family. I started with the comforting and delicious french onion soup. We shared a cheese fondue, which I highly recommend with apples, and a meat fondue. My favorite part was the dessert: decadent milk chocolate fondue with strawberries, bananas, marshmallows and brownies. The main con to this place is that the portions are small and the prices are high.

Highly recommend! Ingredients are fresh and high quality-so much better than chain fondue restaurants! The menu may be smaller than other fondue places, but everything is hand-crafted and delicious. The combination of fondue and Raclette was interesting and fun! Abby and the owner provided us with friendly service and a memorable experience. Thank you!

Always enjoy dining here for special treat w family, although it can b a bit pricey to walk out the door full. Quaint, cozy and definitely unique atmosphere w excellent service and attentive staff. The selection of Belgium beers is great and I love the tuna and shrimp fondues. The dining room is frequently warmer than necessary …so dress appropriately w layers in winter. A fun evening all around!

Swiss Haven was ok. Just ok. The best part of the experience was our server, who was hard-working, humorous, and enthusiastic. The restaurant itself was lacking in ambiance, very loud, and cramped. The food was ok, nothing special as for flavor. The food quantity was small. The cheese fondue bowl was about 1/5 full. Same with the chocolate fondue (see photos of fork and small marshmallow showing level of chocolate fondue fill level). In fact, for the high price of the food, the quality and quantity was seriously lacking. If you come here wanting to feel full after spending $100/head, you’ll be disappointed. Be prepared to spend a lot of money for a mediocre experience. I get that this is a ski resort town and we should expect pricey meals, but we also ate at Twist and Salt Creek Steak House, and both of those are far better value for the money.

We had a great time and a great meal at Swiss Haven while visiting Breckenridge. Our party of nine was seated promptly when we arrived. Our server, Abby, was very knowledgeable about the difference cheeses in their fondues, and the Swiss wine she recommended went perfectly with our meal. Claudio, the owner, was also very friendly and helpful throughout the evening. We will definitely return, and I would highly recommend if you like fondue!

Delicious cheese fondue, well seasoned raclette & chocolate fondue that’s really exceptional (but would be nice to have pound cake for dipping like the old days) nicely curated wine list. A family tradition whenever we are in Breckinridge.

We love fondue — and it’s a must when skiing in Europe. So we thought we’d try it here, however we were left bitterly disappointed. The portion sizes were tiny; the pot was not even half full. To say there was a slither of cheese would be an overstatement. The fire kept going out too, so the cheese was cold, but not as cold as the clearly frozen vegetables which we sent back twice yet were still charged for. Left hungry, we ordered the french onion soup, which was watery and presented with no real care.

I’ve taken my family here 3 times on our yearly Breckinridge trip that has become quite the tradition. Our first time we had amazing service and while the price didn’t really match the portions we enjoyed the ambiance and our server, Ivan, had the most humorous outgoing personality and the whole family loved him. Our second year the food was just as good, however our server (who I can’t recall the name of) was terrible to say the least. One of my party got sick because she wouldn’t re light the fires under the broth and therefore our food wasn’t cooking in it. Meaning we ate raw chicken, beef, and other foods. We were in the restaurant for easily over 3 hours because of our servers incompetence. This year, we gave Swiss heaven another shot, hoping for a repeat of our first year with Ivan. However, our experience was just as bad. We called in September to reserve a spot (Mind you our trip occurred in January). So we should have had a cemented position on the reservation list. However day of we got a call asking us if we wouldn’t mind coming 30 minutes later as they were a bit behind schedule. This was no issue, however we did arrive a tiny bit early (5 minutes) to see if maybe we could get seated early. When we checked in with the host who rudely said “we cannot seat you because you are 5 minutes early”. We understood and were happy to wait until it came about 10 minutes after our reservation time. At this point we asked the host about our reservation he was very combative saying they were behind schedule and there was nothing he could do. I told him we had made this reservation months ago and my spot should’ve been secured. Eventually after 30 minutes we were brought to a table (mind you this was an hour after our first reservation time). But, this table was two two-tops pushed together…. For my party of 6! I asked the host if we could sit at the open table next to us (which was 3 two-tops pushed together) but he said “no, that table has a reservation”. When I asked why our reservation didn’t get us that table the host got very angry with me and verbally fought me to keep me from the table. Eventually a man, who I assume was the manager, let us have the table. Our food was great and the lady who served us was amazing. But the host ruined the experience for the party. I could not believe how rude he was being to me and how little respect he had for our reservation. I later came to find out that our reservation got moved so they could squeeze in parties that called same day to get spot. All in all, the management at this establishment always hires one bad egg and we always seem to get them. Don’t take the chance and waste 100s of dollars here, go somewhere else.

What a treat to find a fondue restaurant! The cheese was amazing. We added apples and the cherry brandy on the side (in case someone didn’t like it) and the chocolate fondue. No regrets!

I wanted to try it out to find out the burners didn’t properly. The ambiance was really loud in there couldn’t enjoy a conversation with the people at your table. It took a while to get everything set up. I go to Breckenridge regularly for ski season so if you want to talk over people then this is a place for you.
