Both of the servers who waited on me yesterday were awesome. They were surprisingly knowledgeable about their product and extremely helpful. Special note: I learned a valuable lesson. I had been going to the Plainwell location, which was Is actually a franchise location Thinking that I was getting the same quality donuts as the Kalamazoo location. There is a notable flavor difference between the two with the Kalamazoo location (The one I am reviewing here) being Noticeably superior

This doughnut shop is absolutely amazing! The doughnuts are fresh, delicious, and full of flavor — easily some of the best I’ve had. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the manager, Billy. He was incredibly patient and took the time to describe the different doughnuts in detail, which made choosing (the hardest part!) so much easier. His knowledge and friendly attitude really showed how much care goes into this place. Highly recommend stopping by — great doughnuts and even better service!

Great place drove an hour from home to try. Best donuts ever. Prices awesome for a dozen of ANY donut so yummy. And the staff top notch friendly and an inviting place all around. Will definitely be coming back.

I have always loved sweetwater donuts but, that last few times we have gotten donuts from there, the filling is in only about a quarter of the donut or less. You get filling in a couple bites. Very disappointing.

Everything was flavorful. Got a six pack assortment. Oddly enough. Two of my classic filled donuts (raspberry and lemon) had barely ANY filling but was told by a regular that is uncommon. Then cracked open a specialty filled and it was jam packed filled with filling. Thinking it might have been a holiday rush mistake. Other than that, all my donuts were great. Staff was friendly, let me ask all my questions and was very knowledgeable on every donut!

Our visit to Sweetwater’s Donut Mill in Kalamazoo left us in donut heaven. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by a mouthwatering display of massive fritters, twists, muffins, and an array of delightful donuts. We couldn’t resist and ended up with over a dozen donuts to try. Each one was a unique, flavor-packed delight. The staff was not only super friendly but also remarkably patient, especially given our substantial order. It’s safe to say that this is one of the best donut shops I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing. The donuts were bursting with flavor, perfectly cooked, and some, like the fritters, transported me back to the days of old-fashioned, handcrafted donuts. A truly fantastic treat for any donut enthusiast!

Was in Kalamazoo for my daughter’s orientation at WMU (go Broncos lol) and figured we had to try Sweetwater because everyone hypes this place up. The service was friendly and fast, with tons of fun flavors on display—it all looked so promising. But… the donuts? Meh. Got a New York cheesecake one that had plain buttercream on top and whipped cream inside- Where was the cheesecake flavor? The peanut butter cup was flavorless, red velvet was dry, and the cruller cannot compete with a Dunkin’ cruller (sorry but facts). Maybe we caught them on an off day or we picked the wrong flavors. We might swing back and give it a redemption round, but expectations were high, and Sweetwater didn’t quite live up to the hype for us.

I always loved sweetwater donuts. But lately when getting donuts at the stadium location that last several times I’ve gotten hard/stale donuts, over cooked, weird textured, sometimes oddly smaller then normal but super thick and rock hard on the outside but almost raw on the inside. If filled its filling is all in one 1/4 of the donuts. Not in the middle or through it at all. Last time I got a half dozen I ended up not eating over half of them
