Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea on Park in Columbia is a really cute spot with lots of seating options, which immediately makes it appealing if you’re planning to stay awhile. There are cozy nooks with books, outlets built right into the floor, and plenty of space whether you’re meeting someone or settling in to work.
The coffee here is great and definitely the highlight. They also offer a decent selection of food, though it’s pretty standard coffee shop fare—good, but not necessarily something you’ll be thinking about days later. Prices are right in line with other coffee shops offering similar selections, so nothing surprising there.
The staff experience can be a bit hit or miss. Some team members were friendly and engaging, while others seemed more focused on their tasks than on customer interaction. That said, everyone was working hard, and no one had a bad or unpleasant attitude.
Parking can be a little tricky and frustrating if you’re not familiar with the area, but there are good options. There’s plenty of parking available in the nearby garage as well as in the lot across the street, which helps once you know where to look.
One thing that really stood out was cleanliness—the space, including the bathrooms, was very clean, which always makes a difference.
Overall, Sweetwaters is a comfortable, well-set-up coffee shop with good coffee, plenty of seating, and a relaxed vibe. It’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a clean, cozy place to hang out, read, or get some work done.

The sipping sounds event at Sweetwaters was absolutely amazing. Firstly state Sweetwaters is one of my favorite coffee spots here in Columbia location. I love everything from that coffee and teas to their pastries, but especially the bagels. Sweetwaters is located in a great location in the Vista and the establishment is extremely clean and welcoming. The staff is always nice and eager to assist and I wouldn’t expect anything less from the owners personality. We were able to try an assortment of pastries, and my favorite was the artichoke quiche they drink I selected was the Matcha mango and added Leche jellies let’s just say that will not be meant to go to drink when I’m not on coffee. This event was truly fine and I can’t wait to visit Sweetwaters again.

Beautiful establishment, very clean. That’s a beautiful aesthetic and ambience here. Adequate seating and space. Great customer service and helpful baristas. My favorite was the quiche, Lemon bar and mango fruit tea. The owner was very friendly. I’d definitely go again. The raspberry cold brew was not my favorite but if you love raspberry you’d love it. The crème caramel was pretty. (Caramel Latte)

Definitely tasty for the price. I was visiting with a group in a hotel nearby and wanted some good breakfast sandwiches. I ordered a Bacon, egg, and cheese bagel with a Strawberry Lemon Freeze. Both of them were priced under $15 after tax which was good for the quality of food. The staff and management were very personable people. I had some very good conversations with them. I would definitely recommend this place to those wanting a nice chill place to get drinks and more.

Been looking for coffee shops around Columbia that will capture the ambience we have in the cozy cafes back home. This coffee shop did not disappoint the Filipino coffeenatics in us! Their menu is infused with Asian flavors, and their pastries are fresh. But the main asset of this shop is the warm reception we received from Edwin! He went to our table and had a friendly chat with us, and he even gave us a bag of muscadine grapes! He truly embodied Asian hospitality among us! Kudos Sweetwaters! Will definitely come back for the OMG chocolate cake!

Finally had an opportunity to checkout Sweetwaters Coffee and Tea. It was a sweet experience . The atmosphere was pleasant and it was not overly crowded. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They provided excellent customer service. The Ginger Lemon Tea packed a punch and those Mini French Doughnuts filled with Hazelnut were delicious . Go check them out when you get a chance.
