Not only is thier ice cream freshly made, but it is the best. It has a great texture and they have a full board of flavors. Their servings are also large. If you have already been, but not recently, they have renovated, so check them out again! They have more space and great options like candied nuts, brownies, Italian sodas, affogato, sundaes, etc!

In the mood for a sweet treat? Give sweetwater creamery a try. This little ice cream shop offers several varieties of ice and fresh made waffle cones.Their friendly staff will help make sure you are well taken care of. I had the brownie sundae and would recommend using a traditional flavor like vanilla.

The ice cream was delicious, and the atmosphere was nice. Since we were already full, we just wanted to try a few flavors, so we ordered three items: two waffle cups with one scoop each ($4.50 + $2 per waffle) and one two-scoop ($8.50). I’m not sure about the exact price, but I roughly remember it.
The change I received didn’t seem right—after paying $100, I got about $70 back, but the total should have been closer to $23. I asked for a receipt because the numbers seemed off. I wanted to tip the girl who helped me, but I still felt uncomfortable because the boy confirmed the miscalculation and corrected the total to $29.xx by hand.
Please let me know if I’m misunderstanding anything.

We came here about 4 years ago and the staff was super friendly, th ice cream even better! Do yourself a favor and drive here and get some delicious treats! The train tracks being so close is a plus, as I love watching trains thunder by.
The town is small and has a really nice flare to it.

Sweetwater Creamery has several unique ice cream flavors. What took it to the top, however, were the young men working behind the counter. They made it a point to talk to each customer. The one helping us offered ideas for places to go while we are in town. That little touch takes this place from just grabbing ice cream to an experience. Thanks for a great trip!

Destiny was awesome! Super friendly and accommodating. Offered a samples for everything before we purchased the checkout was awesome. The music was great environment was super cool! Destiny explained to us that everything they have they make in house. If you are in Sweetwater for any reason you have got to swing by and grab a shake. She handed me the largest straw I have ever seen in my life. I honestly had no idea they made straws this thick.

My folks took me and their Granddaughters here for a Sweet Treat, when we came up to visit. They explained to me that the Ice cream here was homemade in house and had all types of flavors and that the Ice Cream didn’t contain corn syrups and other artificial ingredients. I was also told that they have some bizarre flavors and combinations. Boy, where they right about that. I saw one I was definitely intrigued to the point I had to try it. The flavor was Maple Bacon. And Let me tell you it was Amazingly Delicious!!! I will definitely make this a main pit stop every time me and my Family come up for a visit.

If you’re in the Chattanooga or Knoxville area, make time to visit the antique district in Sweetwater and treat yourself to this hidden gem. Walking through the doors feels like stepping back in time. The original building, vintage decor, and even their outfits bring a wave of nostalgia that makes you feel like a kid again. On top of that, they offer a huge selection of delicious ice cream flavors. It’s definitely worth the stop!

I love this ice cream shop! I’ve had ice cream and gelato all over the world and this rivals any of the best. While I don’t live nearby anymore, I always make a point of stopping by when I’m in town; it’s that good.
The atmosphere is welcoming and quaint. The staff is patient (you can try as many flavors as you like!), helpful and friendly. But the reason to keep coming back is the ice cream. There are regular and seasonal flavors, all delicious. You can definitely find your favorite tried and true flavors but Sweetwater Creamery offers some truly unique ones as well. And if ice cream isn’t your thing, there are all sorts of decadent homemade goodies too.
Go! You won’t be sorry.
