We found this little place and were not disappointed. The food was great and the people that worked there are so friendly. We had the fried green tomatoes and the chicken Frisco sandwich with okra. Wow. It was the best. Cassidy was our server and did an awesome job!!! We highly recommend it.

Delicious!!!! Ordered the applewood bacon BLT. One of the best BLT’s I’ve ever had. My husband ordered the shrimp poboy and loved it. Service was quick and good. Definitely will come here again next time I’m in town.

Most of the tables were full but we were able to get a comfortable booth. The cafe was cute and appeared to be well-maintained. Our server was friendly, accommodating and attentive. The food was ready quickly and served hot. My guy loved his Double Deal (pancakes, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs) especially his sausage and pancakes. Based on other reviews, I ordered &Grits. It was described as “brown gravy with onions, tomatoes and peppers served over the best stone grits in town, topped with your choice of seafood.” I chose the shrimp. It was disappointing to say the very least. The plate was literally drowned in the gravy (minuscule amount, if any, of the vegetables). The grits were ruined in all of that gravy. I found 5-6 shrimp buried (they were good). For a city known for the shrimp & grits I wasted $18. The biscuit was lacking also. The &Grits should not have left the kitchen. This review has 3 stars due to the Double Deal breakfast.

Cute little cafe off King St! The staff were super friendly and very attentive! My husband got the smash burger and said it was delicious! I got the chef salad and was not impressed! The meat was sliced deli meat that did not taste good at all and the hard boiled egg had a weird texture! I ended up taking a couple bites of the lettuce and that was it!
I probably wouldn’t go back due to prices, it was quite expensive for what we got! The salad alone was $17.50!!!
There were flies everywhere, but the doors are open and it is bound to happen!

I had a fabulous omelet that was stuffed with cheese and bacon. The biscuit was the best I had in Charleston. The grits were delicious and perfectly seasoned. Our wonderful server, Anna, recommended adding cheese and that made the grits amazing.

Stopped in for a late breakfast on a weekday after staying over at a friend’s house while road tripping thru. Not busy and the atmosphere is so cute! Prices felt more reasonable than other places in the neighborhood for sure, and we had an AMAZING hearty meal: shrimp n grits with gravy, so flavorful and different from the Louisiana style I’ve had in the past, and my omelette – ugh! Perfect antidote to road trip food! LOADED with spinach and fresh veggies. Don sleep on the biscuits either. The staff were all so sweet and brought overall totally adorable and comfy vibes to this place. Thanks for giving us such a great start to our day!!

Food was delicious. I had chicken salad, gluten-free bun and sautéed spinach; Asiago-crusted grilled chicken sandwich and potato pancake. Perfect place for quick lunch. Coffee was basic but very good.
Service was excellent. (Atmosphere was chill and perfect for our day.)

Great little diner experience with quality breakfast food. The employees are all friendly and the service was great. We ordered some fried green tomatoes to share. I had biscuits with sausage gravy with eggs over easy. The girls enjoyed French toast and chocolate chip pancakes! It was a Monday morning and there was no wait.

Sweetwater Cafe was located just around the corner from our hotel making it a great breakfast spot for us. We liked the food and prices so much, we dined at the restaurant two days in a row! Our first waitress was Cassidy and our second was named Jasmine. Both were super friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the menu and activities around the city. Our breakfast came out of the kitchen piping hot and was delicious! Twice I ordered a stack of banana pancakes while my husband ordered huevos rancheros and a BLT with applewood bacon. We liked our experience at the cafe very much and appreciated that breakfast/brunch was served during business hours.
