Our first time trying this restaurant. Had great great breakfast items, pancakes absolutely delicious. Breakfast casserole was delicious too. We will be back. Bright and airy. Cool decor with California vibe.

Cute breakfast place! The music was a teensy bit loud but the atmosphere was nice otherwise. We went late morning on Monday and were seated immediately and the service was quick and very friendly. The blueberry pancakes were fluffy and delicious! The hash browns were nice and crisp. My mom had the biscuits and gravy and was very impressed. Would definitely return!

Delicious food, great service. We had Leah as our server, she was so sweet & knowledgeable when we asked what she recommended. We both really enjoyed our meal and it was quick service as well. The latte was delicious and easy to customize as well.

Not your typical “diner” vibe, but nice set up. Music was playing a bit loud. It was hard to have a conversation without everyone close by hearing. Food was good. I had the chicken with hot honey and pimento grits. My husband had biscuits and gravy with a couple of eggs. His biscuits were not quite done inside. Mine was fine. Good coffee and even offered a coffee to go. We would come back. Have to get here a little earlier to get a cinnamon roll next time.

Sweetmilk has officially made me a breakfast person again — and that is no small feat. From the moment you walk in, the place just feels good. It’s bright, clean, cheerful, and has that kind of inviting atmosphere that makes you instantly relax and settle in. The food only builds on that feeling. The biscuits are absolute perfection: buttery, fluffy, and everything a Southern biscuit dreams of being. Pair them with the fried chicken, and you’ve got a meal that’s honestly to die for. It’s comfort food elevated, and every bite hits exactly the way breakfast should.
But the real star of my visit was the manager on duty. I’ve worked breakfast shifts for more than 20 years, so I pay attention to how a place runs — and this guy was impressive on a whole different level. He never stopped moving, and not in a frantic way, but in a way that made it obvious he genuinely cares about both the guests and the team. He was setting tables, seating guests, filling waters, clearing dishes… all with this calm, focused energy. You could tell he loves what he does. I would have told him myself, but he was on a roll! Who was I to stop that?!
When you see leadership like that, you know the restaurant is in excellent hands. It was refreshing, inspiring, and honestly made the meal even better. Sweetmilk is doing something right, and I can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend!

This was one of the first restaurants I tried when I moved to Nashville. I absolutely love this place! Perfect blend of some traditional southern comfort food is a nice, trendy atmosphere. This is my 4th or 5th visit. The staff is amazing! They are always friendly and attentive. Strongly recommend checking this place out!

We looked for a new breakfast spot and saw great reviews.

Atmosphere:
The parking lot has a good amount of parking and the inside is open and well lit.

Staff:
Friendly and attentive

Biscuits:
4 miniature biscuits, tasted amazing. The jam was good also.

French Toast:
Tasted great. Comes with a cinnamon butter.

Eggs:
Cooked perfect. Not too much butter.

Steak & Eggs:
Steak was a thin cut with plenty of flavor. Cooked medium. Came with eggs, hash browns (or grits), and a biscuit.

Checkout:
They bring contactless payments to your seat. The tips are calculated properly (before taxes).

Overall, very impressed. It’s a 30 minutes drive from Lebanon but absolutely worth the drive. Will be back for sure!

Love the food. Tastes like down home cooking but slightly elevated. Grits are amazing. Bacon is so crispy! Did not disappoint.
Great beverage options.

A decade ago, many Nashville neighborhoods offered little beyond local diners and barbecue joints. Now, locals and visitors alike can enjoy new, mid to high end restaurants with various menus. SweetMilk is one of them….it’s only 9 minutes away from Nashville International airport, making it easy to stop by and get your fill of biscuits and other delectables such as pancakes, omelettes, pimento cheese grits, and (my all time fave) southern breakfast bowl! Food is cooked fresh to order by enthusiastic staff, all of whom are super friendly and seem proud to work there. Ordinarily, I wouldn’t focus so much on staff or their attire, however, everyone dressed in green earth tones seems to contribute to the cohesive yet tranquil feel of SweetMilk. I would give this place 6 stars if I could!

Pretty good experience this past weekend! Highlights: bright and open atmosphere, yummy food and decent enough service
Lowlights: tiny biscuit, acoustics of restaurant make sound bounce and it was hard to hear without raising voice.
We did go on a Saturday morning, which makes sense for it to be louder and more busy!
