Went here with the family. Great place for a awesome sandwich. Everyone enjoyed their selections, and for me I had the Lone Star. The bread is toasted perfectly and crisp. The sandwich was a beautiful blend of sliced chicken, light mayo, and I added spinach and tomato. I’m not doing it justice but it was delicious!
Great place, awesome and friendly staff, and I can’t recommend them enough!

Gluten free bread can be used on any sandwich!! It tasted great but crumbled like most gluten free bread which is totally fine. Many great sandwich options!! I got the Rob’s Roast Beef with gluten free bread. He got the Notorious and said it was fantastic. Friendly service, very helpful with questions, and clean tables. Many people were coming in from the river with their swimsuits on for a bite. Very happy with our experience.

THE place to grab lunch when in Salida! The baked goods are off the chart incredible as are the sandwiches! Worth the wait and for sure you won’t go hungry. This is a must stop as is their sister restaurant upstairs for brunch! Cant wait to go back and try more as well as get another magic cookie bar!

Really great bread, sandwiches, salads, and treats at this spot in downtown Salida. I like to get the mountain club on sourdough in warmer months and the #23 when weather is cold. I get the blue Steele salad sometimes, sort of like a cobb salad with awesome dressing. You can’t go wrong with a sweetie’s brownie or dessert bar.

The coolest hole-in-the-wall shop ever. Has amazing options, a very vibrant atmosphere, and AMAZING food. I got the Sears Tower, and it was phenomenal. Highly recommend!

Incomprehensible to me how this doesn’t have 5 stars. Fellow with the red beard suggested the Hot Rob and The Last Crusade after a few tailoring questions and both blew our socks off. The giardiniera was delicious and they don’t go light on all the stuff that makes a sandwich taste good. Not a good choice if you’re on a diet, but I didn’t order a roast beef sandwich to try to get skinny. 6 stars.

Really delicious sandwich: yummy chewy sourdough bread filled with very fresh ingredients. Loved the pickle on the side. Service was good and the sandwiches came out quickly, even though they were busy.
Definitely worth a stop, and even a little detour.

After reading plenty of other Google reviews on this place, we decided to give it a try.
It was underwhelming and overpriced.
The staff was fine, albeit a little disorganized. I tried the “Sears Tower,” and my wife tried the “Hillbilly.” I don’t know if somebody forgot to put extra flavoring or ingredients on it, but I’ve had chain sandwiches that are larger, had more ingredients, and far more flavorful. It’s definitely overpriced for the food you get. The ambiance is not great, and the use of space leaves a lot to be desired. It wasn’t very crowded, but was definitely stuffy and humid. Unfortunately, they did not open windows on the bottom floor or turn on air conditioning to mitigate these issues. I won’t offer a negative review, as there is nothing negative, but buyer beware, this place is average at best.
