BB was so kind and walked me through their gluten-free options and the made-to-order breakfast menu. Total win. We ended up coming back every morning, trying something different each day, and somehow always leaving happier (and more caffeinated) than when we arrived.
It gets busy—because locals clearly love it too—but the vibe is warm, the options are great, and BB alone is reason enough to return.
Their pumpkin pie was nice and creamy and should be refrigerated. Their Apple Pie was very tangy and goes well with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream! The crumble top was also SO good! Their fruit pies can be kept at room temperature. I enjoyed the individual ($13) Pear Berry pie, nice and tart and with the nuts was a perfect touch, still big enough to share!
There’s a little parking lot located around the Napa River Inn Front area, there’s also street parking, and a parking garage on the corner.
There is both indoor and outdoor seating, people were getting breakfast, coffee, and pastries too. A nice little spot to have breakfast or brunch if you’re in Napa. Cute little spot.
I had the pizzeria – it was really good!
I thought $50+ for a 6″ birthday cake was way too high, however I really appreciate the quality and ingredients that went in to it.
The cake was so rich and fulfilling that it’s smallish size was plenty for 6 people with leftovers.
You could taste that everything was made with real sugar and butter!
Not the typical hydrogenated oil, and corn syrup genocide that seems to predominate our so called safe FDA/USDA approved foods.
Only the little sugary decoration plate and the gel they used for the “Happy birthday Katie” was questionable.
They didn’t charge extra for that and I would suggest not eating it, though I am sure it was technically edible.
The staff was very helpful on the phone and at the bakery, they seem to have some lunch stuff too, but if it is a real bakery you want, look no further.
This place is awesome, as long as you aren’t low income.
I was going to complain about the high price and small cake.
After my experience, I have to say that I will still come back for the quality, but not very often unless I make a lot more money.
All in all, the enjoyment of the cake by everyone made it worthwhile.
We also got a tiramisu thing in a chocolate coffee cup for less than $10, I didn’t eat it, but it was also loved
Since this was a display cake, it’s possible it had been out for some timebut unfortunately, it did not reflect the freshness or quality expected at this price point. It simply fell short of the experience we’ve had with much more affordable options elsewhere.
The only instruction we received was not to close the lid communicated in a dismissive tone that made it feel as though we were expected to already know how to handle the cake. For a premium item, clearer guidance and a more thoughtful interaction would have made all the difference.
