Sweetie Pies Bakery was our girls-trip breakfast headquarters thanks to the breakfast credit from Napa River Inn—and we were thrilled to put that credit to work. I have a few food allergies, so I went down the first morning ready to ask a million questions… and BB made it easy from the start.

BB was so kind and walked me through their gluten-free options and the made-to-order breakfast menu. Total win. We ended up coming back every morning, trying something different each day, and somehow always leaving happier (and more caffeinated) than when we arrived.

It gets busy—because locals clearly love it too—but the vibe is warm, the options are great, and BB alone is reason enough to return.

This review is mainly in regards to their pies. My brother requested I get pies from Sweetie Pies for Thanksgiving this year and luckily I called the last day to order pies for Thanksgiving which was the week before. They are open half day on Thanksgiving so I opted to pick up the day before to not get stuck in traffic. I easily called and asked what their most popular pies were and they said pumpkin and apple pie so I had to get both. It came out to about $80. They have individual pies there from what’s ever out so I wanted to try their Pear Berry Pie so I got an individual and there are nuts in it.

Their pumpkin pie was nice and creamy and should be refrigerated. Their Apple Pie was very tangy and goes well with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream! The crumble top was also SO good! Their fruit pies can be kept at room temperature. I enjoyed the individual ($13) Pear Berry pie, nice and tart and with the nuts was a perfect touch, still big enough to share!

There’s a little parking lot located around the Napa River Inn Front area, there’s also street parking, and a parking garage on the corner.

There is both indoor and outdoor seating, people were getting breakfast, coffee, and pastries too. A nice little spot to have breakfast or brunch if you’re in Napa. Cute little spot.

Great breakfast and lunch menu, they close at 5 pm, though.

I had the pizzeria – it was really good!

I love everything here, except the higher prices!

I thought $50+ for a 6″ birthday cake was way too high, however I really appreciate the quality and ingredients that went in to it.

The cake was so rich and fulfilling that it’s smallish size was plenty for 6 people with leftovers.

You could taste that everything was made with real sugar and butter!

Not the typical hydrogenated oil, and corn syrup genocide that seems to predominate our so called safe FDA/USDA approved foods.

Only the little sugary decoration plate and the gel they used for the “Happy birthday Katie” was questionable.

They didn’t charge extra for that and I would suggest not eating it, though I am sure it was technically edible.

The staff was very helpful on the phone and at the bakery, they seem to have some lunch stuff too, but if it is a real bakery you want, look no further.

This place is awesome, as long as you aren’t low income.

I was going to complain about the high price and small cake.

After my experience, I have to say that I will still come back for the quality, but not very often unless I make a lot more money.

All in all, the enjoyment of the cake by everyone made it worthwhile.

We also got a tiramisu thing in a chocolate coffee cup for less than $10, I didn’t eat it, but it was also loved

I truly appreciate the quality of ingredients that Sweetie Pies is known for, which is why I was especially disappointed with the cake we purchased this past Sunday. Despite using the sharpest knives, we were unable to cut even a single clean slice without the icing crumbling and creating a mess. No handling or serving instructions were provided, and the cake was promptly refrigerated upon arrival and served the same day.

Since this was a display cake, it’s possible it had been out for some timebut unfortunately, it did not reflect the freshness or quality expected at this price point. It simply fell short of the experience we’ve had with much more affordable options elsewhere.

The only instruction we received was not to close the lid communicated in a dismissive tone that made it feel as though we were expected to already know how to handle the cake. For a premium item, clearer guidance and a more thoughtful interaction would have made all the difference.

One thing that would make me not go there again is the price — one small pastry was $15! That’s crazy, especially since it was nothing special, just a marble cake. I didn’t like the cake at all — it was just buttercream and way too sweet. I was really surprised, and I hope they don’t keep raising their prices like that.

I recently visited Sweetie Pie Bakery in Napa and had the most delightful crème brûlée! The caramelized sugar on top was perfectly crisp, and the custard underneath was creamy and rich. Every bite was a heavenly experience. The ambiance of the bakery added to the charm, making it a perfect spot for a sweet treat. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Five starts! My favorite out of all the things I bought was the pecan pie. It is just perfect. It is sweet but not overwhelming. They have tweikies, brownies, and cookies, you name it. The place is very small, but you will not regret stopping by and enjoying a coffee with one of their sweetie pies. It is a little price but it is worth it. I recommend it 100%. I leave about 2 hours away, but I’ll definitely drive there every other weekend, especially for the pecan pie

What a cute place. We bought fudge and a latte. Both really good. My hubby left to get the car and I stayed because I was having heat stroke. They were kind to let me sit and cool off. Thank you.

I recently visited Sweetie Pie’s in Napa and was so excited to try a scone. Unfortunately, the scone was rock hard – it was so stale that they should never have sold it. For $6.24 for one scone you’d think it would at least be fresh. I was so disappointed. The service was really unfriendly, too. Overpriced. Poor quality. Rude service. I do not recommend this bakery.
