Sweet T’s Southern Eatery completely blew us away! My husband took me here for Valentine’s Day and the entire experience was phenomenal from start to finish. As someone who eats pescatarian/vegan, I was beyond impressed that their soul food options delivered just as much flavor and comfort as the traditional Southern recipes.
We started with the tea flight of cocktails and the hibiscus margarita — both were creative, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. For appetizers, we ordered the deviled eggs topped with smoked salmon, and they were incredible — savory, creamy, and expertly seasoned.
For my entrée, I had the shrimp and grits (without the turkey sausage), and they were absolute perfection — true chef’s-kiss status. The grits were clearly made the proper way with cream, not water, and the depth of flavor showed in every bite. Anthony had the BBQ salmon with collard greens and black-eyed peas prepared vegan — and somehow they packed just as much flavor as the classic versions. That’s not easy to do, and they nailed it.
Even though it was Valentine’s Day and they were packed with a line out the door, the staff was outstanding — warm, friendly, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. You could see the team hustling to keep guests happy, and it showed in the overall vibe and service.
We were too full for dessert (a great problem to have), so we’re already planning our next visit just for that.
If you’re even thinking about trying Sweet T’s — go. The food, the flavor, the service, and the atmosphere are 100% worth it. You won’t regret it.

Stopped by for brunch while in town for Cowboy Carter. The shrimp & grits were GOOD- the grits were creamy & buttery goodness. The inside is pretty, and the server was nice. It was lively and family friendly, it offers a little something for everyone.

We stopped here on a whim on the way out of the City and back to the ROC and definitely one of the best choices this trip. First walking in, the ambiance, music, and whole vibe is such an uplift. It’s chill and beautiful and welcoming. Then we had an amazing waiter who was hilarious and we laughed the whole time here. We watched a young man come in and ask if they were hiring and the staff engagement of that, even though I couldn’t hear it, showed the true quality and genuine personalities of the folks working here. Then, we got our food and wow. Flavor, deliverance of appearance, and size for value, all absolutely exceptional. Def will come back if I’m in town again!! Thanks Sweet T’s

I’ve been trying to leave this review since Valentine’s Day, but my phone has been acting all kinds of crazyyy. Still, I couldn’t get this place off my mind.
My honey took us here for Valentine’s Day, and my gosh — the experience did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm, welcoming, and full of life. It was busy in the best way possible… a true well-oiled machine, with everyone moving in sync. You could feel the teamwork and intention behind it all.
It’s clear the owners pour their hearts into this place & they aren’t just silent owners either. They’re right there in the action. Dre was behind the bar crafting drinks with such care and attention to detail, and his wife (I’m so sorry I missed her name!) was absolutely fabulous ; helping behind the bar, in the kitchen, and supporting the staff wherever needed. That kind of leadership speaks volumes.
The staff was on point all night. We did wait a little while for all the food to come out, but when it finally arrived? Worth. Every. Second. The flavor, the love, the intention in each dish; my smile couldn’t have been bigger. We both left feeling like we were floating on a cloud.
We didn’t save room for dessert, but honestly, that just gives us a reason to come back and we already have our eyes on what we’re ordering next time.

Went here for lunch on a friend’s recommendation and loved it! DJ the server is fantastic. I told him that I unfortunately have allergies to wheat and dairy and he went into the kitchen and came back with a full list of what I was able to eat. I ordered the Salmon cakes and collard greens with a baby Kale salad that had green apples, walnuts, cherry tomatoes and a lemon vinaigrette. The salmon cakes were delicious with a little fresh squeezed lemon and tartar sauce. Light and flaky, The collard greens were flavorful and not too salty which is so key. My friend enjoyed the Catfish and grits and it looked amazing. The vibe is great in there and I would definitely go back for the food, service and vibe. DJ told us they do karaoke, have live music and a Sunday brunch. It is cashless so keep that in mind. Parking was easy on the street. Highly recommend!

Dont even know where to start. Ended up here last minute for my cousins bday and it was a great choice. Atmosphere is dope, the playlist was on point. We started out with salmon bites, catfish bites, shrimp and deviled eggs. Everything was seasoned and tasted good. As entrees we all had the short rib and macaroni & cheese. I had yams and others had the greens. Oh and the drink “pink lady” was good. Overall a great experience and it was on a Tuesday night so i can only imagine the vibe on a weekend lol.

The catfish bites were a solid 10/10, and even the salad was fresh and flavorful. I genuinely don’t have a single complaint.
I also have to give special recognition to Dj, the bartender/host. He is a true asset to Sweet T’s. His recommendations were spot-on, his conversation was welcoming and engaging, and his attitude elevated the entire experience. Customer service like his makes a difference and keeps people coming back. If you visit the Teaneck location, make sure you connect with Dj. You won’t be disappointed.

I really enjoyed my meal—fried catfish with grits and collard greens. However, because I am health conscious, I was a little worried about my salt intake while eating the fish and collard greens and the cholesterol intake while eating the grits. The collard greens were super soft and tasty. I have been to many Southern food restaurants in New York and these collard greens were the best. The grits were really deliciously thick with butter and cheese. Delicious but the quantity of the cheese and butter made me stop eating it in the middle of my meal. I have to watch my cholesterol.
I found the music too loud and annoying. I needed a lower volume and more soothing sounds than the high bass and beat music. Otherwise, the atmosphere would have been okay. Still, I would come back to try their cornbread, sweet potato pie, and mac and cheese.

Almost finished before I remembered to take photos! Came here the Saturday after a thanksgiving; my Mac and Cheese did not turn out great and figured let us try this place with the rave reviews on their Mac and cheese and everything else. Sweet T’s did not disappoint! Hubby had the fried catfish which was perfection; tender but perfectly fried. I had the short rib grilled cheese sandwich; so good and so filling that half is coming home, along with half of the most excellent fries(thick cut). I wanted to try the fried okra but will have to wait until next time. Nice mocktail menu for me and a full bar that could prepare anything you could think of. We will be back!
