We take lots of time preparing good food at our Jefferson City restaurant so you don’t have to spend your time waiting for it. Our BBQ meats are smoked low and slow and are all fresh daily. We also believe in fast, friendly service so you’ll find our menu written on the wall and we’ll take your order at the counter. The line moves quickly! Stopped by on a road trip, visiting during off-peak weekend afternoon hours. Quiet (at the time), clean, nicely shaded outdoor patio as well as indoor dining. A few menu items had sold out but still offered a solid selection. The Southwest Smokehouse Salad hit the spot with a hearty serving of pulled pork (a good base for sampling each of the barbecue sauces) and lots of greens and veggies. The staff were friendly, great service.

I enjoyed a two meet combo. Brisket and turkey were my choices. Both were deliciously smokey and juicy. I also tried 3 sides. The baked beans were amazing. I also had the potato salad and spicy green beans, which were very good as well. I margarita from the bar was a perfect complement.

The service is 10/10 with a very helpful, courteous staff. All 4 sauces- Hot…Sorta, God Bless Texas, I ❤️ Carolina, and KC Sweet- are fire good! I had the brisket/pulled pork with cole slaw and baked beans. I’m giving 5 stars for the collective dining experience. It, specifically the brisket would only get a 3.5. It has a great smoke ring but it’s cold and lost some of its juicy nature. For what it’s worth, it’s the end of the day an hour before closing. The pulled pork is well seasoned with a proper amount of fat. The baked beans and cole slaw are money. The strawberry vanilla pudding is worth kicking your kids out of the way to get to!

We LOVE Sweet Smoke BBQ and I am so happy they have one on the West side now! This is a freestanding building outside of Capitol Mall so there is lots of parking and easy access. The cheddar grits are my favorite! Really good pulled pork and smoked turkey as well. We had a great experience today the entire floor staff was so friendly, we checked out with Tristan at the counter and he was very helpful with deciding on menu items. Catherine, who was so sweet, then waited on us and was very attentive brought us everything we needed. Anne later also came and helped her clean off the table. The entire staff was extremely friendly. I have honestly had a lot of bad service at many places lately so to come here and get such friendly attentive service was a breath of fresh air. I have been in food service for years and was a restaurant manager so I really pay attention to things like this.

Brisket was melt in your mouth good. Mac and cheese was good and loved the shells they use. They didn’t have a spicy BBQ, but had a range of selection. Service was great, food was quick and then checked-in often.

Try the Texas Tacos! I’m very picky about my BBQ and especially sauces but when they told me these had a mustard BBQ sauce I was curious. 3 tacos-brisket, turkey, and I think pulled pork. Slaw and roasted corn with their I ❤️ Carolina sauce (mustard type). I’m not sure what seasonings they use but my taste buds were dancing, sooooo delicious. Also, great customer service, short wait, cool ambiance, love the clever/fun names of the meals, and they serve it on a sheet pan with butcher paper listing your meal name. Good vibes and outdoor seats allow views of the smokers. The hubby and I will definitely be returning!
