Order red beans and rice with fried chicken through door dash from this place and my dasher lied and said he had the order on the way. This caused a LOT of problems that eventually led to me losing money from the order. This business went above and beyond with communication and picked up the slack when door dash didn’t. The food was so worth the wait, I just smashed all of it and I will definitely be a repeat customer. The service at sweet and savory is top notch and so is the food. Go get you some!!!

I’m a traveling Foodie and I have been trying to make it to Sweet & Savory and finally did, which it was well worth the wait! It is a hidden gem in a back corner with great flavor! The Seafood Flatbread was loaded with tons of goodie on top and was delicious! The Shrimp and Grits were outstanding, the sauce was soooo good and the grits were buttery and cheesy! The lady was very friendly and helpful with what questions I had, I felt comfortable and welcomed! Portion sizes were on point and reasonably priced for the quality and quantity that was received!

My first time eating here and it was so good! The atmosphere is nice and food was very good! The cook knows what they are doing! It would have been hard to find though if I hadn’t went with someone that had already gone there before. Service was okay because they didn’t really come back to the table after giving the food and drinks. Definitely coming back again though.

Found them on Google, liked the reviews so we stopped in. We are so glad we did, the whole family agreed they were the best wings we’ve ever had and the boudain egg rolls were top notch. Will make a habit of stopping anytime were near Gonzales now. Wish I could rate it 10 stars. Also our waitress/server was so sweet and helped us with recommendations. Been craving the sweet tea and wings since I left!

We’re not from the area so finding this place was a little difficult. However the food was great. Cooked fresh and delicious. They were out of ice but luckily we had some in our vehicle. I assume they are just starting out with a physical location but I pray they’re able to expand into a bigger location one day. We enjoyed our visit. Had the seafood & grits with blackened fish and the Pontchartrain express. Service was great as well.

Oh my stars!!! This was the best food I’ve eaten! Eating the slice of strawberry cake translated me to the very presence of Jesus. I had the catfish plate, loaded ranch fries, and my husband got the NYO-Club. I can’t sing praises enough to the gift these wonderful people have. Service and atmosphere was amazing! We were only traveling but I so wish we could be regulars here!

The food was excellent, and you can tell the cook enjoys what he does. My wife is a picky eater, but she thoroughly enjoyed the Lake Pontchartrain. They were able to make the sauce not spicy.
I had the hamburger steak. The meat was well seasoned, while the gravy and potatoes tasted like they were made from scratch. The onions on top were sweet, almost like thin sliced blooming onions.
My wife ordered the tea, and I ordered the coke. That was a mistake, so I order my own. It was sweet with more of a lemon iced tea/ Arnold palmer taste over a tea with lemon wedges.
Things to be aware of:
1. They do not give refills. We weren’t bothered, but others might be.
2. There is only one bathroom in the restaurant.
3. They have 2 incense burners in the room. If incense bothers you, you may need to consider take out.
4. You need to turn down the road next to Mike’s Poboys. You will see their trailer parked next to where they are located.
5. They’ve recently gone up on prices and have not updated their menus yet.

We ate out on the patio because they were only doing curbside service, pick up and patio dining. We had the spicy brown sugar wings for our appetizer. They came out hot and fresh and very tasty. My husband had the NYO club sandwich with fries that he really enjoyed. I had the white beans with pork chop, greens, potatoes salad and corn muffin. Everything was delicious, with the exception of the greens. They were just not to my liking. But everything else was on point. We will definitely be eating here again. The service was good also. (Husband sandwich was almost gone, so no pic).

I tried the oxtails and boudin rolls today. The food was so good. The oxtail plate was so heavy. I just think this restaurant needs to work on having consistent times. Meaning if you tell me it’s going to be ready at a certain time that’s what I’m expecting. Customers are currently not being allowed in the building. Overall it was a nice lunch. The food was really good.
