I had a very long, very exhausting work day this past Saturday and didn’t feel like making my own dinner so I wanted to stop somewhere for something that was cheap and delicious. I don’t know if you’ve seen the price of fast food lately but that wasn’t an option, so I called ahead and placed an order with Sweet Rice. The fried pork dumplings were the best I’ve ever had and I’ll definitely be eating here again.

Did not get everything that was ordered, I called to tell them and to say to make my order again and I got hung up on. Called back to speak to owner explained again and he hung up on me. I called again and right from the start yelling at me and hung up again. I called a 4th time to inform them that I will be stopping payment.

Though the place looked kind of shady and there are no dining in options, the food was quite tasty. Had the general tso’s chicken, it was okay. Salem is a small town, no harm in getting a quick lunch to go from here.

This place used to be good. Today, November 11, 2021, I ordered the General Tsao’s chicken and it was the most disgusting dish I ever had. I don’t think it was real meat. It was spongy and wet and looked like a processed meat like what you see in cheap chicken tenders that were soaked in water before cooked. It had no density whatsoever, it was like a wet sponge. I called and complained and didn’t want my money back. This is a fair and honest assessment of this place. There was a meat substitute that was gross. Never again.Beware.

Horrible! We’ve been coming to Sweet Rice for years but they have gone way down hill. Not only did they totally mess up our order but the food was not good tasting at all. The egg roll was filled with grease too. This isn’t the first time we’ve had problems with the food either. Never coming back again.

The food is decent and braces are all right, but going in after Dark the waiting area is infested with bugs flying around the lights it’s kind of gross me out to be honest. But thanks to the plastic separating us from the people in the kitchen it didn’t seem to have any bugs in there
