Stop what you are doing and drive here for breakfast or lunch! We had the best meal and the most enjoyable time meeting Miss Amanda. She is the ultimate host and cook. The veggies and meats were all seasoned and cooked perfectly and the prices are very reasonable. She is a kind soul running a homestyle kitchen in a nice little restaurant space. Easy parking and easy seating. Thank you for a great experience!

Don’t let the outside of this place full you there is a blessing on the inside. We met the owner Miss Amanda and she is a sweet person. The food was hot and the conversation was even better. Found this place on Google and would definitely recommend and return.

Marvelous fried chicken and catfish. Forget your diet and do NOT miss this spot when traveling through. Food was well prepared and supper tasty. Take the extra time to wait for your food to be prepared and enjoy the results at Sweet Potato Heaven. Wait staff were very welcoming and helpful too!

Great food and awesome people! I had a crew of very Hungry firefighters doing a prescribed burn. Sixteen of them! I got fried chicken, pork chops, and burger steak in different combination meals. All of it was gone very quickly and these firefighters from all over the country were VERY happy with the food.

Good food and good southern hospitality! The thing that was more impressive than the food was the customer service we received from the “one man band”. The young man who served us was working alone. He was the host, our server, the cashier, and the cook. And he did it all with a smile! He even sung happy birthday, beautifully, to one of the ladies in our party.

This was a good stop after a hike through Providence Canyon. There’s an ambiance of weatheredness. The aged facility knows the food will speak for itself.

We will definitely visit again. If you have a large party, I recommend calling a couple of days ahead to ensure they can staff appropriately.

Excellent service, and the food came out fast and hot. I went on a Saturday and was told that breakfast is served all day that day.

My main complaints were that it was quite hot indoors, and the large fan that was blowing air that day was very loud. I also found the 5 different menus a bit disorganized, but I guess it’s understandable if they update them each day and keep them up to date on their Facebook page.

I ordered a some fried okra and a slice of their traditional sweet potato pie.

The fried okra’s flavor was sour and salty. It’s flavorful enough that it doesn’t need any sauce, but the sauce gave it some nice creaminess. The sauce options I was given were regular ranch and spicy ranch.

The slice if sweet potato pie ($2) was delicious and served piping hot. The filling had an almost fudgy texture, and the crust was perfect–it had a subtle sweetness and wasn’t too thick.

The food was AMAZING! We found this little gem on our way home from Atlanta and I’m so glad we did. Our waiter, do it all man, was excellent! He worked super hard and was so kind! We’ll definitely be back!

We found this place traveling back from Florida to Douglasville. We are so glad we stopped. The building was dated but the food and service here are what most restaurants can’t match. We got the “meat and two”plates and the collards were the best we’ve ever had and so full of flavor. The Mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy. Chicken tenders were crispy outside, tender inside and the honey mustard was outstanding. The chef came out to meet us and thanked us for stopping. Such a nice family to have lunch with; her daughter was the server. We got the red velvet cake to take home. Stay tuned for that review. We can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Great place, Great people. Food was really good. Not fancy but very clean and great service. I had a regular breakfast. The sausage was really good. My wife had the pancakes and they offered their homemade sweet potato syrup. It was so good my wife bought a jar. We also got a couple of slices of sweet potato pie for later. They didn’t last long. We really recommend this place.

My wife and I went to army National Infantry Museum and decided to look for a local restaurant to eat lunch and we found Sweet Potato Heaven.
This is an small mom & pops shop. An amazing place to have a quiet and not rushed lunch with someone special or by yourself.

The customer service is the wonderful southern style. The food is literally like is homemade. I would definitely be happy to come back in the future if I am near them.
I highly recommend it.
