I was born and raised in Chicago, so after moving my family to SLC my first priority was to find a good pizza, and I did. There stuffed pizza is great, as good as any stuff you’ll find at any favorite pizza place in any Chicago neighborhood. The thin crust was my favorite surprise. You see everyone outside Chicago thinks Chicago is all about Deep dish and stuffed, this is totally wrong Chicagoans eat more thin than anything else. There is a definite type that is a Chicago thin, it’s has a sweet sauce, cracker crust, and must be square cut. Sweet Home does all this, and they do it well. For Chicago natives, the thin tastes just like a Barnaby’s pizza!

I tried Sweet Home Chicago for the first time last night. We ordered carry out and went with thin crust because I’m not a fan of deep dish. We also tried the garlic cheese bread. I can take or leave the cheese bread. The pizza however, was great. For the most part the outside crust was still a little crispy on the outside. I expected it to get soft being in the box for that long. I loved the flavor of everything, the sauce, the meats, and all the veggies were great. My two complaints would be that I had ordered it with onions and there weren’t any onions on it. Also, they put A LOT of green peppers on this and I don’t think they were cooked in the oven with the pizza. You couldn’t see most of the pizza from under all the green. I’m going to have to go in for lunch sometime and try some fresh out of the oven. Regardless of the error with the peppers and onions this is the best pizza I can pick up and bring home for dinner. There was a lot left over and I ate more for a midnight snack and ate the rest for lunch today. Don’t hesitate to give this place a try. I can’t wait to get some more.

Best pizza I’ve ever had! I love the deep dish. I thought the prices were somewhat high until I saw how big the “small” pizza was. I would have eaten less at a buffet! This location was kinda hard to find as it’s not well labeled, and you feel like you’re going in the side door, but the pizza was excellent! Worth every cent.

Came here with my family and we had a good time. I’ve heard that the pizza was good and really authentic. I can’t speak to authenticity, but the pizza was very good. Atmosphere was nice, the serving staff was friendly and helpful. Only complaint we had was the lemonade was out on the soda machine. A minor inconvenience, so really no problems. Otherwise great food, but it might be a little overpriced. If they dropped the price for the stuffed pizzas by maybe $2-3 it’d be absolutely perfect.

First time eating at Sweet Home Chicago. Great place! It’s in a nice area and looks great on the inside. The food tasted great and exceeded expectations. The owner was very friendly and I could tell he really cared about the business, about the customer, and about the product. I would strongly recommend this place for a quick lunch or a family dinner.

Its the best attempt at chicago style pizza ive had here in utah. I lived there for 10 years, giordanos is my places of choice so thats what im comparing this to.
The deep dish has an extra layer of thin crust on top of the pizza, between the cheese and tomato sauce. The sauce is too sweet (in comparison)… they seem to use more stewed tomatoes in chicago vs the sauce that this place uses., and the crust is lacking some of the buttery corn meal crust flavor.
Overall its a decent experience. I liked the thin crust more than deep dish. Though when im in chicago i love the deep dish (so im probably more picky about it).
I would encourage them to keep experimenting.

Love the pizza!!! By far the best pizza you will ever have. My favorite is the stuffed pizza, the pizza is thick, the sauce is on top and the cheese is on the bottom, because it takes over 35 minutes to cook. If the cheese was on top it would burn. AMAZING! Thanks guys!

Not a bad pizza. We went on Tuesday which happened to be buy one get one free which worked out well. The Chicago style which was close, but it was good. The service could be better but for the price still a four star.

Finally a place that comes as close as I have found to Ginos in Downtown Chicago. You must order the deep deep dish pizza otherwise you just get an average thin crust pizza. Now I can satisfy my Chicago Pizza cravings.

As a native Chicagoan, this find was the greatest thing to duplicate one of the “Chicago” things I miss so much! I asked for a special order with spinach in my pizza and the staff person taking my order had no problem adding in the spinach. This is my newest favorite restaurant here!
