We love Thomasville, GA so much we put a Cheese Shop in the heart of it. Started in 2010, this evolving venture is our opportunity to share the best of Sweet Grass Dairy with you. We extend the invitation to our farm table to enjoy our cheeses, favorite accompaniments and southern hospitality. We believe that every product has a story and we offer products selected with intention. A small sampling of our menu includes handcrafted cheese and charcuterie boards, handcrafted sandwiches, salads, small plates, and desserts. We also offer a well-thought-out drink menu focusing on field-to-flask and interesting local favorites.

This was an amazing find in Thomasville, some of the best cheeses I’ve had in a long time. We got the charred brussel sprout and artichoke dip which was my highlight, super creamy melted cheese with the salty brussel sprouts on a crunchy crostini. That set the bar high for the rest of the meal, but nothing disappointed. I loved the homemade fries with tons of dips (the ranch was my favorite), the real cherry coke and shirley temple, the philly cheese steak, and my companions got the pimento burger which was also delicious, of course.
The dedication to gluten free options including true homemade gf burger buns was truly impressive as well! More restaurants should be taking notes.
I also want to shout out our server Melissa who welcomed us to Thomasville and Sweet Grass and told us all about their history and what was best on the menu. Thanks for being so welcoming.
I highly highly recommend stopping by anytime you’re in the area, even just for a single bite!

Absolutely love this place! Fantastic and delicious food! Burger was on point! Cheese spread was sooooo good. Server (Alex/Alley) was super sweet and helpful, very knowledgeable on all the different cheeses. I enjoyed watching the cooks in the kitchen. Thank truly seemed like they loved their job. Working hard with some smiles.

Great cheese and wine shop with an excellent kitchen. I highly recommend the Chicken Salad sandwich. A huge variety of cheeses and olives. A great place to enjoy with your friends.

I ordered several gift boxes online for my work colleagues and clients for Christmas this year. The recipients were blown away with the quality of cheese, meats, jams and crackers. I appreciated the packaging that kept the food well preserved en route, consistent communication throughout the delivery process so I could text each recipient when I was notified of the doorstep delivery, and the reasonable price for such a high quality product. I’m a fan of the cheese and the family’s story behind it. It’s such a pleasure to promote one of the pride and joys of my hometown.. a small town business with a world class reputation. Kudos to Sweet Grass Dairy for making my holiday gift giving such as success!

Why did I wait so long to come here! Great location in quaint historic town. Love the decor and feel inside the restaurant and sidewalk tables.
It’s amazing when you walk into a place and there is a kind of buzz of people chattering, laughing, enjoying great food, drinks, and fantastic cheese.
Service was fantastic and it felt as though everyone (including guests! and kitchen staff!) were smiling a cheery!

What a gem we found today in Thomasville. We were out bourbon hunting and asked where to eat.
A local person said Sweet grass. Most restaurants were closing at 2pm, but they were open past 2pm and it was 1:45pm.
Our waitress, Crystal, was very friendly and recommended the brussel sprout and spinach dip and suggested extra crostini, good choice! It was rich and loaded with Sweet grass cheese!
She highly recommended the pimento burger with bacon bourbon jam. We split that. We split that with fries. She brought 2 plates and 4 dipping sauces for the fries. They had 6, and we picked spicy ketchup, garlic aoli, some sweet bourbon ketchup, and blue cheese dip. My favs were the aoli and blue. The spicy ketchup has a good kick.
We also tried a 1/2 charcuterie board with their cheese and amazing sweet dips / honey sauces and nuts. Truly wonderful cheeses. I think their house pickles stole the show there. Sweet and tangy butter pickles!
I paired my lunch with Blake’s peach cider! It was dry and paired so well with everything. My wife ordered Coke and was pleasantly surprised to get a glass bottle of REAL Coke from Mexico. We took a lil moo slice of cheesecake home.
10 out of 10!!! From great friendly service to awesome food! We will make the trip from Tallahassee monthly to eat here again if possible. Crystal was fantastic and made our lunch comfortable by answering all of our questions with thorough knowledge and Georgia charm. Thank you Crystal. Pics were taken, don’t miss Sweet grass!

Probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten (Pimento cheese and bacon jam). The spinach side was very good too. My wife enjoyed her cucumber gin martini. Service was spot on. Our waitress was super friendly. Can’t wait to come again.
