The bread selection here was really good! It’s a Taiwanese themed bakery with a bunch of different breads. They also offer their previous day bakes for a big discount. Good prices, good size, and their Thai Tea and match is good

Been here for more than 5 times, Sweet Bean is my favorite bakery in Chicago of all time. Coming from Taiwan, I can say this is very authentic & tasty Taiwanese bread/pastries! Be sure to get there early (usually before 2pm is good) for wider selections, as they sell pretty fast.

Very cute place to stop for a quick breakfast or brunch. The Taro Mochi pork floss bun is surprisingly good, will definitely get it again. The savory bun is good but it is a bit cold by the early afternoon. It would much better fresh out of the oven.

I came here 4 days in a row! I would’ve given 5 stars based on the first 2 days I went, but unfortunately the last 2 days, the blueberry and strawberry matcha that my friend and I ordered were made completely different than the first 2 days. Super disappointing because the both were phenomenal!! But the buns remained the same, very tasty. So far, I’ve tried the taro bun, chicken and garlic bun, tuna and egg bun, almond custard bun and the salted egg yolk bun. They do not miss with the bakery section. Overall, I’ll still come back with fingers crossed that the blueberry matcha is made how I remember it! 🙂

Simply amazing! Fresh tasty baked goods and delicious cafe drinks. I love that the products in the morning differ from those in the afternoon, so you always have a nice variety.

My favorite bakery in town. They serve very authentic Taiwanese/Japanese style breads, cakes, and other bakeries – at very reasonable prices!

A really nice and cozy place to just chill and relax. The mango smoothie was really good! The pastries were good but not my favorites. Would definitely visit more often.

I say yes to Sweet Bean. This is a hip little coffee shop on the corner of Wabash and Roosevelt. Very interesting food. Taiwanese, I believe. Also, great music inside.
