My boys loved the noodles, fried rice with ribeye meatand the Hot fries appetizer!! Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped us decide what to order based on our likes.
The only thing that I didn’t like was the sticky floors. Kinda nitpicking… But every person that walked by you could hear.
Over all a great experience and we will definitely be back!!
Location: in a strip with other businesses. Shared lot with some businesses claiming a few of the front parking areas. Plenty of parking spaces though but watch for vehicles driving through the parking lot.
Atmosphere: well lit, clean and inviting. Not loud and spaced well from others. They sat us well with a baby in a stroller- we didnt feel in the way.
Food: good variety with pho, ramen, poke, rice. Noodles, bao buns, spring rolls and more. We got their fries, duck bao buns, poke bowl & seafood ramen. Everything arrived in good timing and fresh. The bao bun was good but would be great with a/more sauce. The ramen was flavorful but wish the eggs were marinated (just plain boiled egg). The fries were great- give me more! My sister liked her poke bowl.
Price: a little pricey but the food was good & it seems like they care about what they are doing. Ramen was $18, bao buns $11, fries $11. For 1 person, you may pay $15+ for a meal (depends on what all you order).
Service: friendly. The host was generous and our waiter was nice. No issues.
Overall, a great refreshing restaurant. Would definitely recommend!
The restaurant was clean, the staff members were friendly and kind. Plenty of parking. Will return!
The place, it being a Thursday night, was pretty empty – only about 8 or 10 people in a place for about 50ish seats. We were also a bit early, about 7pm. The waiter hands us the menu, we take out time and then choose a plate of sweet bahn bao (those little fluffy breads filled with meats and veggies) with marinated pork and a plate of hot mess fries. They were both sooooo good. After we were done with the starters we ordered a sweet basil special fried rice to share. The plate was huge and, again, very flavorful.
By the time we finished, more people had started coming in. Later, we told some other local people about the place and they who said that this was one of their favorite restaurants in town.
Our check for the two of us, with tips, totaled just above $50.
I am going to take my hubby to try soon. I won’t be bringing my kids back. [Not because of anything the restaurant did. They are too young to truly appreciate the high-end food here is all]
What truly impressed me was the menu’s range and execution. Every visit offers something new, whether you’re leaning toward a steaming noodle bowl or exploring one of their fusion items. Drinks and small plates complement the bigger bowls, and the hot mess fries — bold, playful, generous — are a treat for anyone wanting something fun. Meanwhile, the classic Vietnamese soups and noodle dishes have heart: rich broths, fresh ingredients, and a sense of tradition.
Service is consistently friendly. Staff greet you with genuine warmth, check in at good intervals, and make you feel seen. Even when they’re busy, there’s no feeling of being just another number. It’s the kind of service that makes you slow down and enjoy the whole experience.
Sweet Basil strikes a rare balance: great food, inviting atmosphere, and service that cares. Without hesitation, five stars from me — this is a place I’ll return to again and again.
