Katy really knocked it out of the park. Every aspect of working with her was fantastic. We were so impressed even at our tasting and were blown away by the presentation and flavors- even flavors that we are not generally drawn to like the raspberry white chocolate ended up being part of our main wedding cake. Our wedding coordinator attended our tasting and also commented on the professionalism and amazing presentation that she doesn’t see that often in the wedding industry. We chatted about the design process and likes/dislikes and really let Sweet Basil take control on our vision. They acquired flowers from Centerpiece Studio that were in my bouquet and incorporated that into the cake design too. It was absolutely my dream cake and I’m so happy with how it turned out!! Phenomenal job!!

Omg I have to stay out of this place. The flavors and textures of their Macarons are beyond amazing!!! Just when I think I’ve tried all the flavors they titillate my tastebuds with Snickerdoodle Macarons! My wife and daughter love their Hot Coco Bombs, and the cup cakes are a burst of flavor that will keep you wanting more.
My advice, but a dozen macarons for each person in your household, because sharing these are not easy. I can’t wait to see what they have in store for Christmas!

A friend brought me a lovely box of macaroons and mini loaves for a sorority virtual tea . They were not only beautiful eye candy to look at but oh so delicious! I’m ordering loaves as giveaways for my Dad’s 90 th Birthday.. Shhhshhh it’s a secret! Go get some!

Maybe they just had a bad day. Macarons are egg white, sugar and almond flower. They are much like meringue and should be light and soft. These were heavy and crunchy with the consistency of sugar cookies as if the egg whites were not beaten prior to mixing with the almond flower.
As.much as I love macarons I simple could not finish these.
There are some good reviews and as I said maybe it was a bad day for the baker. As served these were not $2.50 macarons which is also the price charged at the CDG airport in Paris, France.

i first tried her macaroons at the farmers market in downtown Fredericksburg. I was amazed because after 36 years of traveling for the airlines, it was the first time I’ve had macaroons outside of France that tasted like they were “from” France.
Later after the store opened, I have since tried a couple of their cakes and cookies. Icing that is neither gooey or greasy, and consistency in every bite of every treat . They are simply the best.

These macarons are correct! We met the baker at a market and just loved her story and her tasty treats. Suffice it to say, she knows what she’s doing and has the bona fides and goods to back it up! Do yourself a solid and get some Sweet Basil Macarons… like right now!!!

Made a beautiful Taurus zodiac cake for my picky 16 year old. She was the only baker that stated she could make the cake without using fondant and use butter cream icing and dye it black. Others stated it would look gray. Another plus is the cake was moist and yummy! Will definitely be using this bakery again in August for my 3 year olds bday.
