NEED TO HIRE HELP AT FRONT. Waiting 20 plus minutes cause they move slow and take one order at a time Donuts I guess good. Tried to have them make birthday cake for daughter’s party. Never once got back to me. Took my info down and what kind of cake I wanted and everything. Haven’t heard from them since. No follow up, no talk of design and flavor cake, no schedule pick up nothing. Why tell me you will do a service just to forget about it later. Had to make other arrangements last minute but to be honest, for a bakery, kind of unreliable as a first impression.

If you haven’t been to Sweet Bakes by the Lake yet, you are seriously missing out. From the moment you walk in, the smell of fresh baking hits you right where it counts, and the selection is honestly overwhelming in the best way possible.
The Food
• Breakfast Sandwiches: I started with one of their breakfast sandwiches, and it was perfection. The ingredients were fresh, the bread was high-quality, and it was exactly the kind of hearty start I needed…Sausage, Egg, Cheese Croissant. Sorry there was no photo of the sammy, I definitely ate before the phone on that one!
• The Baked Goods: Their pastry case is like a work of art. You can tell everything is made with care and high-quality ingredients.
The Cookies (The Real Stars!)
The cookies here are on a completely different level. They are thick, soft, and the flavor combinations are so creative.
• Lucky Charms Cookie: This was nostalgia in a bite! It had that perfect cereal-milk sweetness and the texture was spot on.
• Root Beer Float Cookie: This was the absolute star of the show for me. I’ve never had anything like it—it actually tastes exactly like a frosty root beer float in cookie form.
Annette is the best and her staff is incredibly friendly. The atmosphere is so welcoming. It’s easily one of my favorite spots in town for goodies. Do yourself a favor and grab a dozen cookies/doughnuts—you’ll regret only getting one!

Been on a Dubai kick lately, not a lot of places in town sell it but Sweets by the lake has like 5 different desserts with Dubai add ons. The pictures really don’t do the size justice, $8 seemed like a lot compared to the rest of the menu prices but when you add on the pistachio filling you’re basically getting a 1-1 ratio for filling, considering most 1oz bars at the store cost $3 this is lowkey a steal. (I’d also like to add that the Dubai chocolate bars are $8 while most bars online and instore range from $11-$30 for a full bar) I’d say the brownies are an inch thick and I had well over an inch of filling, tons of crunch! My partner got the bacon egg and cheese croissant it was super fresh and large as well. Definitely good pastries for the price. I think I’ll be eating these the rest of the week
