We love love love the sauce, it’s the only kind we buy! So when visiting Chicago, I searched for BBQ and I was shocked to see the sauce I love is a restaurant! We rushed over because Google said they close at 7. We arrived at 6:30. The brisket was very dry, to be honest, but since everything is smothered in the bbq sauce, it made it better. The burnt ends were great! We didn’t try any pork or chicken dishes this time. Order the onion strings- it’s enough for 4 people! If we ever come back to Chicago we will come back here for sure!

When I passed by this place before I knew I had to come back and try it. Cool friendly staff , great prices and speacials. The food is also great. I had both the baby back and St Louis style ribs and both are great. St louis style ribs just fell off the bone, so tender. I prefer the Baby Back Ribs though. Great sides..Sweet Potato Fries, Green Chili Mac, Slaw and the best Corn Bread I’ve had at a BBQ Joint in a long while. We really enjoyed our selves.

Food was ok. Ends of ribs were too crispy almost burnt. The pulled pork was good. Service was excellent. It’s a nice place. Hubby was disappointed in the ribs he made me order so, if he didn’t like them it was my fault for ordering. His plate was much better but, we probably won’t be back.

Service was very good. Brisket sandwich was flavorful but the bun was right out of the bag. Wished it would have been put on the flat top for a few minutes to toast up. Baked potato was warm at best. Was not steaming hot as it should be. Creamed corn was outstanding. Could eat that all day. Would come back but will.make it a point to make sure food came to the table hot. Prices were very reasonable.

While in Chicago for the marathon, we stop by this place. It’s ok bbq, the food could have been a little more flavorful. You just don’t cook food and put sauce on it and feel like it’s going to pass.

Food was pretty good, during the winter I don’t run my smoker it’s just too cold out for it. I do prefer my own BBQ, but to be able to get some decent BBQ in the winter, this is a good spot. The burnt ends are amazing. Ribs are just okay in my opinion. Fried pickles and onion string appetizers are pretty gigantic, and at the price of $8 each, i was surprised.

We have always enjoyed dining at Sweet Baby Ray’s, and it was a perfect choice for lunch today. (We moved out of the area three years ago, so it had been awhile.) Their meats and sides are all always delicious, and their BBQ sauce nicely complements the smoke of the meats. Their menu is also very reasonably priced, especially for the quantity and quality of food provided.

Ordered from here for lunch today and food tasted okay. The half slab of baby back ribs was dry and a little tough. But I was most disappointed on the size of their side dishes. They were TINY. For something that doesn’t have high cost margins (potatoes and cole slaw) I would have liked to get a slightly larger portion. Not sure if I will order from here again, since there is not even enough side dish to go with the main entree.

Sweet Baby Ray’s often has Groupons available and whenever there is one for sale, we purchase it without thought. The Moo-Oink burger has a burger, cheddar cheese, pulled pork, and grilled onions on it. It is soooooo good! They don’t hold back on the pulled pork, either. The french fries are cooked to perfection and go great with the burger. I eat a lot of burgers and this one is hands down consistently one of the best.

Pulled pork was fabulous! The cornbread was tasty too! Friendly staff, clean, nice environment. All-a-round good place to have lunch. First time here, and will come back.
