We stopped in for the first time, specifically looking to avoid a chain restaurant, and this spot did not disappoint. The sheer variety of menu options was impressive. Our food came out quickly, was delicious, and was hot off the grill/stove. A huge shoutout to Karen, our waitress, who was outstanding! She knew the menu inside and out and provided genuinely friendly service. We’re already planning our next visit to explore more of the dishes.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but I was really disappointed with my recent visit. I ordered crawfish and tried a sauce that was recommended to me, but I didn’t like it, so I asked if they could remake it with a different flavor I’m familiar with. They agreed, which I appreciated.
However, when I received the second batch, I noticed shells in the tray that looked like they were from my original order, which made me question whether it was actually remade fresh. The crawfish also got cold very quickly, which made me feel like they may not have been freshly prepared.
The manager did apologized when I called back, and even asked if they’d like to be remade but at that point I was more concerned about the quality and freshness felt like I wasn’t going to get it the 3rd time. I wasn’t trying to be difficult — I just expected hot, fresh crawfish, especially for the price.

Dinner was delicious! Our server was amazing and food was hot and fresh!! So hot we had to wait a little while to let it cool down before indulging. Prices are fair for the portion sizes! I should’ve had the boil special they had for Memorial Day but it seemed like to much for me to eat by myself.

This is the best seafood I’ve had outside of my own kitchen!!! The staff was wonderful from our greeter to the last moment with our waitress Alyssa! A great place all the way around! My grandfather and father grew up on the bayous of Tx/La and taught me the measure of a good seafood place is by how good the gumbo is and OMGOODNESS this was the best gumbo outside of our family kitchens! And the sauteed crab fingers were SOOOO YUMMM! Portions are generous and this was definitely money well spent!!

For appetizers we had boudain balls and boudain stuffed shrimp. It was horrible, the rice was way too mushy and not flavorful. For entrees we had boiled crawfish with potatoes and corn and seafood enchiladas with dirty rice. The crawfish were “ok”, seasoned on top not inside same for the corn and potatoes. The dirty rice was horrible as well couldn’t eat it. The seafood enchiladas were alright.
The other thing is, for this to be Fat Tuesday and the restaurant is cajun themed, the music did not match which was very disappointing and messed up my Mardi Gras vibe!! I won’t return to that particular Swamp Shack. I The one in Kemah is way better!!

Fist time here, We had Karen as our server and she was THE BEST! Very attentive and kind. We had a very pleasing time here. Food was delicious!!! Will definitely come back to try other dishes. The menu has a large variety of items from appetizers to dessert and even great beers! Thank you karen for such a good time. ☺️

Alligator housed in absolutely ridiculous and cruel conditions. Lets all gather around the glass box with a live animal trapped inside and enjoy our dinner… the gator doesnt even have proper lienear UVB needed to grow, the cube it has lived in for over 6 years is so small. So sad. The food was good but not worth supporting this. I wish i could just speak with the owner about proper husbandry for an animal like this! It needs a zoo exhibit not a box.

Swamp Shack has delicious seafood. The oysters are excellent, and red fish is tasty. Even the veggies are seasoned just right. Our food server was attentive and friendly. The only request I have is to please repair the tear in the seat, as it is a health Hazzard and infection risk.
Overall, this is a place we come to to fulfill that seafood craving.
