We went there during Christmas time while traveling to Houston to taste Indian food. I liked the food. The veg noodles were not that tasty. Both the veg and lamb biryani were good. The service was also quick. Paneer chili was also good. They had a clear menu section for veg and non-veg foods, which made it quick and easy for us to order.

The food and staff are amazing. I’ve been fortunate enough to have Indian food around the world, including in London, and Swagat is still one of my absolute favorite Indian restaurants. The prices are reasonable and the portion sizes are great. Additionally, and this is meant in the most positive way possible, anyone who enjoys music from the 2010s will love the music they play here. All in all having dinner here was the perfect end to my finals week, cheers!

Well. We found our new favorite Indian cuisine restaurant. So glad we gave it a try and we did have to drive a good distance to get here. We’ll worth it. Everything was a bit better than all the others we have tried. Great deal because the naan comes with our entrees. No need to pay extra for it.

If there is anywhere I wish I can promote highly in all of baton rouge, it’ll be Swagat. Absolutely in love with this place. The servers are phenomenal, half the reason I come here. The food…. There aren’t words that describe how delicious it is. And the vibe is super chill.

A very good place to dine in for Indian cuisine . It happened to be on our way back to Houston and we thoroughly enjoyed it . Not just food but overall ambience is also nice and friendly. Our server or manager Hari is extremely polite and friendly. He checked on us in between for anything if needed . If I happen to be here again will surely revisit . I would definitely recommend this place. One more thing is the toilet which was very clean and maintained.

Simple inside, but who cares when the food is amazing.
No pressure to up sale and the local clients here are cheery and know the staff here.

I don’t eat much curry, however after finding this place…..
