What an incredible dining experience at Suwana’s Thai Restaurant in downtown Asheville! The restaurant was very busy when we arrived, but we were lucky to get a table and it was absolutely worth the wait. The place was fully packed, so the service was understandably a bit slow, but that didn’t take away from the overall experience at all.
Every single dish we ordered had mind-blowing flavors. The Massaman curry was rich, creamy, and deeply comforting with the perfect balance of spice and sweetness. The drunken noodles were packed with bold, authentic Thai flavors and cooked to perfection. And the highlight of the entire meal was the mango sticky rice — hands down the most amazing one we’ve ever had! The mango was perfectly ripe, the sticky rice was warm and creamy, and the coconut sauce tied it all together beautifully.
Despite how busy they were, the food quality was outstanding and well worth the wait. If you’re in downtown Asheville and looking for truly delicious Thai food, Suwana’s is a must-visit. We will definitely be back!

We visited Susana’s Thai Orchid for dinner and were very impressed! Our server was kind and attentive, making us feel welcome right away. The papaya salad was outstanding—easily one of the best I’ve ever had. I highly recommend trying it! The pineapple curry fried rice was both unique and delicious, offering a great balance of flavors. The Penang curry was rich and flavorful, though I would have liked to see more vegetables in the dish. Overall, I highly recommend stopping by for authentic, flavorful Thai cuisine.

Absolutely out of this world! Authentic Thai cuisine..The Pad Thai and chicken satay were amazing—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The Khao Soi was exceptional and truly stood out. The staff were extremely friendly, creating a warm and happy atmosphere throughout our visit. We finished with mango sticky rice for dessert, which was delicious and a great way to end the meal. Highly recommend this place for authentic Thai food and great vibes!

Everything was so good!!!! We both ordered the pho, it being our first time ever trying pho it was delicious. We also ordered the dumplings and the crispy spring rolls, both were great. My favorite thing at this restaurant was the mango sticky rice omg I’ve never had anything so good. I loved everything about this restaurant from the service down to the atmosphere. 10/10

We did a take out here, taste wise the food was good. We ordered the spicy basil fried rice, Panang curry and the shrimp dumplings. The fried rice was good and spicy. The panang curry was very watered down, you can see the flavor and texture was very diluted. The shrimp dumplings were more like a shumai, the taste was good. Very reasonably priced.

We stopped in for a 5pm dinner on a Monday. It was laid back at the time. The crowd picked up over the next 30 minutes. The staff was friendly and attentive. The flavors were good. The crab ragoons really stood out. The perfect combination of crispy edges and soft filling. I enjoyed the pad see ew. I prefer mine to have crisp on some of the noodles. That wasn’t present. However, the broccoli and thin cut carrots were very flavorful. We went without spice after hearing the table next to us seeming to struggle with just mild. So beware of youre not a fan of heat you can say none.

Such an amazing restaurant! Great people who are super friendly! They made great accommodations for my wife’s dietary restrictions. Came here 2.5 years ago for the first time and came back on our honeymoon! Foods amazing, our waitress was super sweet and thorough. I recommend trying their pineapple fried rice and any of their noodle options.

Server was very communicative and friendly and attentive. Food was served quickly. The drunken noodles were superb. I ordered the dinner portion for lunch, but thought the portion size was not much bigger than what I assumed the lunch size would be. My wife had the yellow curry (pictured), which was a bit sweet for our taste, but hardy, nonetheless with big chunks of potato and carrots, etc. Knowledgeable about our Gluten-Free needs helped us feel comfortable. Highly recommend!

The food was outstanding and the service was amazing! The mango sticky rice was out of this world incredible. The Pad Thai and the Panang curry were wonderful. The Thai tea was the best I’ve had. Got takeout here for the first time earlier this week, and it was so good my mom and I came back again to dine in. Definitely recommend this place!

This was a delicious little Thai food spot. There was a nice atmosphere, loud, but not obnoxious; it was still easy to talk. There’s a large menu and all the food we got was amazing. I would definitely go again several times to try new things, and then more times to have favorites again. I definitely recommend this place.
