One of the best indian food I have ever had in my life! The samosa mutter chaat was the prefect flavour bomb to start off the lunch, followed by a nicely grilled paneer tikka. The star of the show was of course the paneer lababdar with rich taste of tomato and spiced with chilli . My partner also enjoyed his butter chicken a lot. The palak mushroom, tadka da, rice and breads were fantastic compliments.

We left satisfied with a full belly and we thought the set lunch was of good value. Staffs were attentive and helpful, the interior was beautifully designed. Jamavar’s michelin star is well earned 🙂

Extremely disappointed with our group visit yesterday to this falsely hyped restaurant. The main courses were especially dismal. All the curries tasted identical, clearly cooked in the same base sauce. There was no effort in presentation or flavour—standards you would expect from a Michelin‑starred establishment, especially given the hefty prices. We’ve genuinely seen better presentation and taste in small local restaurants.

What made the experience far worse was that four of us developed gastroenteritis afterwards. We were up all night unwell and had to take sick leave from work today. What was meant to be an exciting visit to a highly acclaimed restaurant turned into a complete nightmare. Never again.

To add insult to injury, we later noticed we were charged £8 per bottle for water, despite specifically asking for tap water. On top of that, there was a mysterious “cover charge” with no explanation of what it was for.

Overall: overpriced, poor quality, questionable hygiene, and unexpected charges. Avoid..

Really lovely Indian restaurant with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The place was beautiful and added to the whole experience. I tried a few starters and they were full of flavour and really tasty. The service was friendly and attentive, and overall it was a very enjoyable meal. I’d definitely come back again to try more of the menu

Jamavar is a stunning Indian restaurant with the dreamiest dim-lit ambiance ️✨ We couldn’t choose, so we went all in on the tasting menu (£128pp) — and wow. We left full and seriously impressed.

Our favourites?
Soft shell crab
Stone bass
Old Delhi butter chicken
Cupid strawberry crémeux

Perfect for a special occasion, date night, or when you just want to feel a little extra ✨

Jamavar offers an elegant yet welcoming dining room, with stylish interiors, warm lighting and a relaxed buzz that feels ideal for both intimate dinners and small gatherings. The atmosphere feels luxurious without being stuffy, and the location in Mayfair makes the experience feel truly special from the moment you arrive. Service at Jamavar is polished and professional, and the team is attentive without being intrusive, happy to explain dishes and guide you through the menu. On our visit, Khadak Singh looked after us with exceptional care, ensuring we were comfortable throughout and that every detail of our meal was perfectly timed. Khadak Singh’s kind, personable manner made us feel truly looked after and added a personal touch to what was already an excellent dining experience.
The restaurant host, Karishma, also genuinely elevated our evening with her warmth and professionalism. She welcomed us with a smile, checked in at just the right moments.

3/5 Stars overall 2 or even 1 star for service : Excellent Food, Disappointing Service Pace and repeated interuptions
The ambience is lovely and the food is excellent, truly deserving of the Michelin star. However, the service significantly impacted our experience.
We were repeatedly and annoyingly interrupted during our 7 pm business dinner by staff pressuring us to order the next course, citing the two-hour table limit. We knew this but then interrupting and not delivering was quite annoying. They were initially slow with drinks, but then aggressively rushed us through the meal, which felt unwelcome and unprofessional. Furthermore, the staff seemed disorganized: they missed one guest’s starter and forgot my dessert totally, requiring multiple reminders. But still they kept saying “the table is booked for two hours sir” even after it was there fault to deliver correct orders… The restaurant was empty after 9.30 so not sure what they wanted…looked like the staff wanted to go home more than anything… Was wondering who would book a Michelin star restaurant after 9.30 pm (even they want a second round per table) if they want to enjoy a Michelin star experience… Bad service… The mango lassi wasnt great as well other food and desert especially the gajrela and the rasmalai were very tasty.
Great food, but the inconsistent and rushed service needs immediate attention to match the quality of the cuisine and the price point.

We ordered the lobster idli sambar and stone bass tikka for starters, followed by the laal Maas, and finally the pistachio milk cake for dessert. We also got cocktails to accompany the meal, the royal blush was my personal favourite. Service was personal and fast, and the ambience was unmatched. As for the food, I believe the Michelin star alone does not do the restaurant justice as Jamavar goes above and beyond with the flavours it puts on your plate

Went for partner’s birthday with prior reaervation. Food was decent. Seating arrangement was weird as we(family of 3) were asked to sit next to 3 guys who were sitting too close to comfort. So asked to change seat and was provided basement seats inspite of having space at the top.

Highlight was the birthday surprise in the end. Thanks for the experience.

Enjoyed the beautiful setting, every bit of food and the company of my table immensely. A bit disappointed by the service though – the first course took ages to materialise and one of the servers had a surly attitude/ deneanour that was not what I’d normally expect at a Michelin-starred restaurant.
